Hello friends,

How are you all doing?

Just got two new drawings from the artist. Which body type do you prefer? Why?

It helps if you have read the chapters I've posted of Farming Beetle.

Thank you for your help,

Cássio Ferreira

A is the way, for mass appeal. A rounder design is statically more cute and harkens to a friendlier figure. The human shape is more in line with how the character feels they are but for a cover image implies more of a beastman aesthetic.

Chirag

Agreed. It's like how in the spider isekai manga, the MC sees herself as a super cute anthropomorphic spider, but is actually just horrifying to look at.

I agree. Besides he is a former human so he will always view himself as one despite being plucked from his world and transformed in new species all together.

In her defense she is a regular spider with human memories. A lot of that series makes much more sense after certain revelations. Long story short the key to non human character creation is; can it make a marketable plushy?

Hey guys. Thank you so much for the comments. What is that manga? Also, if you like spiders, I recommend Children of Time. Great sci-fi book.

That last comment about the plushy made me laugh, Coleman.

The English translation is “I’m a spider so what.” It is a light novel, with manga and anime series, about a person waking up as a spider in a litrpg world in a continent sized dungeon as one of a brood of monster spiders. She goes from dog sized regularish spider to calamity of mankind magic using drider before the fifth volume and then the plot kicks in. It is a roller coaster of wild twists and survival against the odds the whole way through. Not sure if it’s ended yet?
