Very forthright of Liam admitting that "not popular" is one of the things he counts as failure! I'm confused by the speech balloons in the last panel. Either Liam's is supposed to come second, or the "Oh, wow" one should be pointing at Liam, right?

That is an actual coping strategy I was taught for times when I got anxious. Lean into all the stuff that could go wrong even the stuff that is ridiculous and eventually, your brain goes 'now you are just being silly' and I felt a lot less bad!
