Lots of love and hometown pride on this page on this page, for me. ♥ Looking forward to continuing to build this imaginary town with real pieces of Massachusetts.

I'll also include a copy of the page with no word bubbles:

It does look very New Englandish. What are the exterior walls of their house made of? It's painted in an impressionist style, rather than photorealist, so I can't be sure. I ask just because one of the features of that area is that they can build brick houses, so far, knock on brick. We can't do that in California. More importantly, which university? Are they all the way out in Amherst, or somewhere closer in, like Waltham? I guess we'll find out in due time. If they're near Northampton I'm coming to visit!

So I love MA, but if they are currently in the LA area, there's really no place in MA "far from a city" by LA standards except on the Cape :) (at least if Springfield and Worcester count)

Perversions

*packs my bags* I'm visiting.

Coming recently from my hometown on the Vermont side of the I-91 border with Mass, it definitely feels right... and could even be West of the Berkshires... ;)

Being a New Englander myself, it’s wild seeing this sort of town show up in your drawings. It looks so familiar, especially that church-like building in the background of the middle frame. Reminds me of the area around Amherst.
