The first run at pencils was hilariously minimalist, and so I had to share this specific Photoshop layer. It was just a stick figure Dorothy hovering over a sitting stick figure Joyce!

Honestly I wondered at this early point if this concept even had the juice (so to speak), and I almost didn't refine the pencils further.
