Hello Ali cats, I hope youā€™re having a good weekend as youā€™re reading this! :) Iā€™m about to go check out an apartment later today so fingers crossed it works out. I want nothing more than my own place again so send me your prayers, vibes or whatever you do šŸ™

In the meantime here is the art of our electric eel! Can you tell from the audio that I really enjoyed the sound that rubber/latex gloves made? lol xD

Music recommendation this week is from the Terrifier 2 movie! Funny enough Iā€™ve liked this band for a bit now so when I heard them play in the opening credits I was like ā€œhell yeah!ā€ šŸ¤˜ As usual feel free to give you own song rec of something youā€™ve been enjoying lately :)

Song: ā€œThe Equaliser (Not Alone)ā€ by the Midnight

If youā€™re interested watch the vid with the opening credits to the movie, it is chefā€™s kiss šŸ‘Œ āœØ

Good luck with apartment hunting as far as songs go Iā€™ve found myself listening to the Halo 3 soundtrack again recently one final effort from that soundtrack will always feel right to me.

Kai Zomei

Best of luck on your apartment hunting. Don't have a specific song, but veen listening to this band a friend listens to called Band-Maid

Eeveeolite

Good luck with the apartment! And saw terrifier with my sister... Oh my god lol can't believe there's a third!

Delta

Such a cute character ^_^ I'm hoping mine will be good, might go grab some beers with some friends this today or tomorrow, just depends on what everyone is doing lol But I hope your apartment hunt goes well and it's what you're looking for!!! :D And oh!! That's what that sound was?? I was gonna ask! It was good!! And once again... no music recommendation from me ^_^; still listening to podcasts for the most part lol but I'll hear the song when I watch the movies!!

Smitchy enjoying his peenini

My weekend is going well so far, thank you. I hope yours is as well! Wishing you the best on the apartment hunt. :3 I really loved the character this week. My song recommendation is "Do Ya" by Electric Light Orchestra.

My weekend has been great. Went to a Halloween party at a friend's apartment on Friday. It wouldn't be Halloween without some sort of prank, so one of my best friends and I printed out fake 100 dollar bills with the host's picture on them and hid them all over the apartment. It might take him months to find all of them (inside oven mitts, in the middle of books, inside DVD's, under the sole of a shoe, etc). Lol. Dang, you're moving fast for an apartment. I hope things work out! I know living at home can suck, but it might be worth staying just a little longer for the sake of taking time to find that perfect place. I've been meaning to redo my alternative/indie rock playlist since it haven't updated it in a while. So my song rec will be something from there "Fashion" by The Royal Concept

strobi100

Good luck at your check. My weekend was special. I lost my Job after 23 Years, but I got another one already. My Song this week comes from Men at Work(what a coincidence). Its called Down Under .I missheard the Lyrics that goes " I met a strange Lady, she made me nervous, she took me in and gave me Breakfast", but I heard "she took me in and gave me Headpats". Maybe i'm listening to much Roleplays???šŸ˜

I've set the vibes to max positivity. I don't know how long I can hold out like this. Energy is running out. Rations are low. This might be it for me. It's getting dark. At least I died doing something I love... I probably should have saved that for last. I think it's going to take an awkwardly long time to perish, so I guess I'll finish typing this comment in the meantime. I liked the glove sounds too! They were great in this and the rat girl audio. There was something strangely tingly about the "zaps" as well. Maybe it's just one of those OP words. Not sure why I assumed The Midnight was gonna be a metal band. I'd have been happy with that too, of course, but I always enjoy surprise synthwave. This particular song reminded me a lot of Com Truise. My recommendation for the week is Debaser by Pixies. They obviously need no introduction, but this might be my personal favorite. I actually got to see them live back in June. They played every song I could have hoped for and they still sound fucking fantastic!

Thanks Releo! I looked at a few places yesterday and have another one to look at tomorrow. Hereā€™s hoping one works out :) Iā€™ve only played a little bit of Halo here and there but I know the soundtrack is very good! āœØ

Thank you Kai! I gave Band-Maidā€™s song Thrill a listen and it was awesome! āœØ

I hope you have fun going out with some friends! Any good food to pair with the beer? :) I saw a couple of apartments yesterday andā€¦eh, definitely not what the pictures showed lol. Itā€™s ok though, I have a couple more appointments lined up so hopefully one of those work out.

Eh, we ended up not doing anything yesterday, and today it's too friggin cold! Actually just put some wood in the fireplace and I'm getting that going now lol and as for the food, with beer I like stuff with bread lol, burgers, pizza, hotdogs/ sausages, or soft pretzels ^_^ aww man! That's a bummer! That's how it was for me when I moved here, looked at a few apartments in one complex and a couple condos lol one condo was a nice older one, but parking was like 200 yards away, another condo well...i noticed the giant dead roach, my dad noticed that somebody left a present in the toilet... eww... i ended up just going with one of the third floor apartments where I'm currently at lol bonus is the third floor gets a wood burning fireplace! But I hope your able to find the right one soon!!! Definitely check the crime maps as well!!!

BloodyAzazel

Hopefully you don't end up with noisy neighbors if you do get an apartment, given that the walls don't creak or make noise. Honestly I don't really have much to say these days. Maybe it's from me just listening to rambles or probably due to not much happening. Best I have is just me getting a Cookie Butter Truffle and Spiced Apple Today Candle too. The Cookie Butter Truffle smells so arousing because it reminates a smell of a delicious cookie. Spiced Apple Today smells like a type of cinnamon apple mix. This week's song is gonna be from one my older brother introduced me to once I started getting older. I knew the artist with their music, but to me this was the first song I listened to from them. Alien Boy by Oliver Tree.

Soul_Dragabond

This week I'ma have to recommend Pride from GranBlue Fantasy. Been leaving the character who's theme it is and it won't leave my head.

Thank you Smitchy, Iā€™m glad you enjoyed the Eel girl! :D Your recommendation is definitely one Iā€™ve heard! Please tell me Iā€™m not imagining things; this 100% played on a lot of movies right? XD

Omg, what an awesome prank- I love that! šŸ˜‚ It will be like two years from now and heā€™ll find one of those bills lol. Iā€™m glad you had fun though, thatā€™s awesome :) As for the apartment, I did find one and I got it!! These past few days have been a heck of a rollercoaster since I made appointments to look at a couple. The one I ended up getting though was my number one and Iā€™m so happy ā¤ļø Fashion has such a good beat, I liked that one a lot! Thanks for showing it to me :D

Iā€™m sorry to hear about the job Strobi. Iā€™m sure that was tough after 23 years. That is awesome that you got another one so fast though, good on you! I hope you enjoy it and everything works out for you :) OMG, your song rec! XD Iā€™ve always loved that song but never knew what it was called or who sung it lol.

Nooo, donā€™t go into the light Noct! šŸ˜ lol. Ngl, I was home alone one day and found a box of gloves (Iā€™m going to guess for when my mom does cleaning, etc.) so I was like ā€œI wonder what they sound like?ā€ Lucky me it was good :P Iā€™ve never heard Com Truise until now but the name made me chuckle lol. Iā€™ll have to check them out! Be honest thoughā€¦are you going to judge me if I say when I read Pixies my first thought went to ā€œWhere Is My Mind?ā€ šŸ‘€ Seriously though, thatā€™s so cool that you got to see them! Hell yeah! šŸ˜Ž

>>153573677

I have a good feeling that the noise level will be alright at the place I got. And if not at least I can pad or soundproof it to some degree since it will be mine! >:) Oh man, I love me some candles. Those scents sound amazing āœØ I donā€™t know which I like better, a good candle or incense. That song you recommended has some weird but interesting lyrics haha! I really liked the beat though- thanks for sharing it :P

Iā€™ve never played GranBlue Fantasy but man that song was good! I imagine playing to it is pretty badass āœØ

>>153431791

Oh God D: I canā€™t believe you saw a roach andā€¦well, that lol in the toilet! What I saw the other day wasnā€™t that bad but it was bad still. I was thinking about making a ramble talking about all the places I saw before finally getting the one! :D

Delta
>>153431791

Oh... don't worry, you'll see them soon enough being in an NC apartment, all it takes is one disgusting neighbor :P my apartment has thankfully been roach free for the past few years lol and I'm excited for you btw!!! :D Knowing how I feel after a few days after visiting my dad or him visiting me, God, I'd be itching to leave if I had to stay for more than a few days!! Lol

Noct
>>153471458

Haha, I definitely can't judge you. I'm pretty sure that's what 95% of people think of. I just like to raise awareness and mention their other good stuff sometimes :P Since we're on the topic, I'm gonna sneak in an extra rec and say that you should check out the Trampled By Turtles version of Where Is My Mind someday.

Iā€™m getting to this late, so I know that apartment did in fact work out! Glad you finally have your own place again. Iā€™ve actually already heard your song rec because I binged all the Terrifier movies on Halloween and I LOVED them haha, the kills are genuinely fucked and Art is hilarious, David Howard Thornton gives him so much personality, heā€™s positively dripping with character! Speaking of I know earlier you were asking about what the first movie of the series was, if you didnā€™t already find out the first one is an anthology film called ā€œAll Hallows Eveā€. It contains the indie short films where Art as a character originated from, but the collection of shorts in that movie doesnā€™t connect to the rest of the series at all so youā€™re not missing anything by not watching it. (Though the films do have Easter eggs referencing the short films.) Art shows up very briefly in the first short ā€œThe Ninth Circleā€, only appears in a painting in the second, and the final short ā€œTerrifierā€ is the only one entirely dedicated to him

Iā€™m glad you enjoyed them! :D Iā€™ll admit the series is a new little obsession of mine. David is such an amazing actor and Damien is so creative as a director! I absolutely love the 80ā€™s vibe and aesthetic too. Everything about the movies is just šŸ‘ŒāœØ I did end up watching All Hallows Eve also! That movie was a little silly but the ending was pretty creepy ngl šŸ¤£ The only one I havenā€™t seen yet is Terrifier 3. Have you seen it yet? :)

Secular Succotash
>>154200630

I actually did see Terrifier 3! Definitely worth the watch imo. Most of the movie is great, my only real complaints are that the pacing felt a little rushed at the end and (no spoilers) a certain character is killed off-screen at the end. Considering said characterā€™s importance I really am dumbfounded by the choice to NOT show their death. Art was obviously the highlight as usual lol, I think Davidā€™s acting is my favorite in 3, seems he gets even better every movie! Kills were super creative (they killed it lol) Stand outs were a kill with nitrogen used to freeze and shatter someone early on in the movie, and the super long and brutal shower kill at the end. Overall I had a good time watching it, lots of laughs and bombastic gore that makes the Terrifier series fun
