Happy Saturday Ali cats, I hope your weekend is going well so far :) Iā€™ll be getting to replies later after some adulting errands (eww, grocery shopping), but I saw that some of you looked at the pics before listening to the audio on Fridayā€¦shame on you. Donā€™t be surprised if you see ghost kitties for a while as punishment :P

In honor of my goth cat girl Lapis I feel itā€™s necessary to share a song fitting of her aesthetic. Arguably Depeche Mode may not be goth to some, but some of their songs definitely are (at least in my opinion :P) As such, Iā€™ll be sharing my favorite by them this week. As usual feel free to post a song rec of your own! ā¤ļø

Song: ā€œBlasphemous Rumorsā€ by Depeche Mode

HOW DID U KNOW...

Delta

Hey, not my fault you posted the audio so late that I didn't get to listen to it till this morning! :P but fun... errands... that'll be next weekend for me lol hope it at least goes well! Hmm.. gonna have to give them a listen, the band sounds really familiar though..

Wheniks

Jokes on you maā€™ma. I followed the directions of the video like a good noodle. So no punishment for me. And Daisy 2.0 by Ashnikko songs a bop with Miku on it

Releothunder

Iā€™ve gotta go get ingredients for experimental pies I make a unique pie Iā€™ve never tried every year for Christmas and this will 5 years of weird pies so I I wanna make it extra special this year so Iā€™m gonna test some recipes. As far as music goes lifelight came on after my playlist ended thee other day and it got added instantly itā€™s the super smash bros theme!

Gəttway

Nah, I've done just as I was told so I'll be safe... for now I guess c: I'm also having a great w-e so far, everything going smoothly so I can't complain ! My parents are good fans of Depeche Mode so I totally see their aesthetic fitting Lapis, really good choice haha My song recommendation for today'll be THE HAZARDOUS by Anti-Flag, I've also discovered them thanks to spotify some years ago, they're pretty anti-society so ig it goes pretty well with the theme too (with a bit of punkiness on the side) hehe

BloodyAzazel

"Donā€™t be surprised if you see ghost kitties for a while as punishment :P" Go ahead, strike me down with an audio ghost kitty. You don't have the balls. *Lightning strikes me welding a stop sign* I completely have a lot to share since I forgot to after that incident happen(no need to keep saying stuff to support my recovery about it, I'm already feeling better anyways). Alright, first I got to talk about Citadelle Des Morts, the new Black Ops 6 Zombies map that came out. After using every sword(on a not about it, their base form is called the "Bastard Sword." Seriously, you cant make this shit up.), my Favorite one has to be the Ravens sword, Balmung. Not only is it a Void Sword, but i like the astatic look of it. Here's a link to see what all the 4 swords are, along with how to get them(you know, just in case... you decide to buy BO6 for the 70 dollars it costs... unless you get a special offer or used Xbox Ultimate to get it for free... yeah). https://youtu.be/w0LcTbjnNKY?si=Fo_DpmoQ624A-j4a Next one transitions to both a topic I wanna go about for their update and the music recommendation. Ok so first off, I lost a 50/50 to Yanagi Banner, only to then get Yanagi after the next 10 pulls along with her W-Engine. For an Anomaly Electric Character, she's very fast with attacks as well as disordering enemies who are shocked and dealing massive damage. Next is the 1.4 update coming. If you've seen the trailer already, it's going into so much detail with the characters, along with something I've long waited for, which is for all factions we know of to finally all be seen together(well, other than Soldier 11 from Obel Squad of whatever it's called). Not only will I be grinding to get my Chances at getting Myabi, but I'm also hoping to get her W-Engine as well(pray for me please). I'll also be able to get a new agent as well when the Update drops too, which will be Asaba, an S-Rank Electric Melee Agent. Lastly is the music agenda. I got this ZZZ ad a while back and I just couldn't get enough of the music video. From the linguistics of it and the animation. It's very good and I love it. https://youtu.be/wZlv3qDPfjk?si=XXixVtcGBrCbHpjs

Citadel de morts is so good I did the full Easter egg solo yesterday fun fact while bastard swords are actually a thing in historically itā€™s a also known as hand and a half sword typically larger one handed sword that has its handle is large enough to be used with two for more power and control. My favorite sword is caliburn the dragon sword.

BloodyAzazel
>>157638248

All I ask is not to spoil the Easter egg since I have yet to even complete or even do it. Also I'd figure Caliburn would be a good sword too. It's the 1st sword I knew how to get, but I find it a little hard to manage since PHD Flopper isn't on the map until Wunderfizz spawns at round 25. Still though, very classic.

Releothunder
>>157638248

Oh itā€™s such good Easter egg Iā€™d just recommend you bring a high dps gun when you do it or the boss fight will take ages. Btw there is a small drinking Easter egg thatā€™s super easy to do gets you a nice chunk of points but also a free phd Iā€™ve been using it on every game

Emeraldrop

Happy Saturday Alichu! I shall be catching up on audios tomorrow, ooo I wanna see ghost kitties :3 I recommend Absolute by LongestSolorEver, tis a Murder Drones song. Lapis is also a cutie <3 Bestest goth cat

BerryCole

I didnā€™t get a chance to listen to it the other night but curiosity got the best of me when I looked at the post this morning and I peeked haha, but I wouldnā€™t mind seeing some cute ghost kitties for a bit šŸ¤£ I havenā€™t heard of the band before but after giving them a listen Iā€™ll def check out more of their songs now lol, def can see how the song fits our goth cat lapis here. As for song recommendation I had this song pop up recently as a recommendation by Spotify and I instantly put it in liked so hope you enjoy it too! its GENESIS by From First To Last

Secular Succotash

Maybe not goth in sound but definitely in lyrics, somehow 80s music feels nostalgic despite me growing up in the 2000s lol Speaking of, man I was born in such a weird in-between from millennial and Gen Z. Like I canā€™t relate to either generation that well. As a ā€˜00s kid Iā€™m young to millennials and old to Gen Z, like Iā€™m young enough that I donā€™t remember a time before the internet existed but old enough that my first experience with a computer was on a fat ass CRT monitor and internet explorer was the best browser cause chrome wasnā€™t a thing yet. Iā€™m young enough that I donā€™t remember a time when cell phones didnā€™t exist, but old enough to remember when my mom went to buy her first cellphone (it was a silver Motorola Razr and I thought it was the coolest shit ever haha) so yeah Iā€™m in this weird like generational limbo where I donā€™t neatly fit into either camp. But who needs labels anyway? (also ā€œGenerational Limboā€ could low key be a great band name) Yappin aside, my song rec is another comedy song ā€œDeath Metalā€ by Ninja Sex Party (yes thatā€™s actually their name lol)

Secular Succotash
>>157638248

Not me hearing ā€œZZZ music videoā€ and immediately hearing BURNICE BURNICE BURNICE BURNICE BURNICE GO GO!! in my mind like a fucking sleeper agent lmao (pleasantly surprised that it was not the Burnice promo)

n0ct

This redraw is SO good! Idk, maybe I'm just partial to the character. I can't put my finger on why, but I really like her. She's charming. I actually love grocery shopping once I manage to get out there. Hyping myself up to go is hard. I inevitably always forget something though. That's the worst part. Let's goooo! Depeche Mode is cool as fuck. I feel like this isn't a song of theirs that comes up often. Sort of like more upbeat Joy Division. My rec for the week is The Beast and Dragon, Adored by Spoon. This isn't necessarily their most popular work either, but I think it's catchy. I hope you enjoy it as well. Edit: I was half asleep when I wrote this and the first version was almost unintelligible xD My bad. I had to go back and fix it.

Anti-Flag slaps. I still jam out to 1 Trillion Dollar$ on the reg.

BloodyAzazel
>>157638248

Yeah, it's ok but I'd like to see someone compare it to KSI's "Thick of It."(Alichu, don't listen to it, it's just bad.) (Also, it still surprises me that someone would compare "Burning Desires" to that song anyway.)

BloodyAzazel
>>157638248

Did the Easter egg for both Terminus and Citadel and my god, Citadel was like hard fun while Terminus kinda felt underwhelming.

Moy

I really enjoyed the audio, I thought it was very cute. What also really impressed me was the evolution of your art style. Going back to see the art of Lapis and comparing it to the new redraw is really cool. Makes me wonder, is there any art work of Padpa? I think it would be neat to see her too considering her style is supposed to be a bit different. As for my weekend. Jeez lol. It started out pretty good, but to say it has turned into a fucking disaster is a bit of an understatement. This is just going to be me venting somwhere now, so feel free to skip :P I got myself a tablet. I'm not a laptop person and I had been wanting a tablet, it was a bit pricey but I justified it a as Christmas present to myself. I took it to work on friday and I just started using it to doodle since I didn't really have much to do. Very happy with it. However, disaster struck on Saturday night. My refrigerator stopped working. So I had to go out looking at refrigerators on Sunday morning and ask questions about delievery and installation etc. This turned into a bit of a nightmare since the waterline installation for the refrigerator can only be done by some stores if the valve that connects to the fridge is basically in the same room. Unfortunately, the previous owners of the house put it in the basement. Since the fridge is broken I figured I should just shut the valve. I didn't put any force on it at all but the fucking valve snapped off and water started spurting out everywhere. The room where this valve is located also happens to basically be my hobby room lol So I had to rescue everything while water was spraying all over the place. The only way to stop the water was to shut off the water for the whole house. I did not have all the right tools needed to fix the leak myself, normally I would ask my dad to borrow something or come help me out. My parents left on vacation that morning and wont be back for a few weeks, lucky me lol Luckily my brother was able to come and help me out. I'm waiting for some sealant to dry, so I won't know if our fix works until tomorrow. If that doesn't work, I'm going to have to call a plumber. My parents might be out of town, but I have keys to their place so I'm staying there. The cherry on top for all of this is that while I was rushing to rescuing my things, I dropped my phone and the screen is destroyedšŸ‘Œ I cancelled the insurance on it a couple days ago and it is no longer under warranty. So now I have to buy a new phone too (sending this from the new tablet). I want to fucking scream lol As for music recommendation. Violent Pornography by System of a Down Been a while since I listened to System of a Down, felt like today would be a good day for it.

In my defense I was trying to prep food the night before! Time got away from me a little bitā€¦itā€™s not that I accidentally messed up the recipe or anything and had a mess to clean up, of course not >.> lol. They are an older band so I wouldnā€™t be surprised if youā€™ve heard them before! :D

>>157604674

You get good kitty headpats for waiting till the end! šŸ± ā¤ļø Iā€™ve also heard that Ashnikko song before and I like it! My favorite song of hers is still Slumber Party though āœØ

alichuart
>>157620850

Thatā€™s such a cool thing to do for Christmas every year! Do you have any ideas for this yearā€™s pie? :) Iā€™ve never played Super Smash Bros but the minute the song started I knew I had heard it before- it must have been from all the streams Iā€™ve seen of vtubers play haha! XD

alichuart
>>157621246

Good kitty headpats for you on waiting until the end of the audio! šŸ± ā¤ļø Even though Depeche Mode is a little before my generation I LOVE them! I wasnā€™t born in the 80s but love the music and movies that came out during those years ^_^ This is my first time hearing Anti-Flag and I was not disappointed; that song was awesome! āœØ

Releothunder
>>157620850

Well Iā€™ve got a few ideas maybe a tea pie not sure what flavor of tea though maybe chai or matcha or we all know pecan pie but what about peanut or cashew pie and a few others I think I wanna take the weirdness down a notch from last year I made a crust pie yes a crust pie normal pie crust then it had an Oreo and a graham cracker crust inside held together with a syrup mixture it was surprisingly good even though I made it cause I thought it would be funny the whole thing got eaten so I suppose it was a success.

>>157638248

Sounds like youā€™ve been having a lot of fun gaming, thatā€™s awesome! Considering Iā€™ve been getting back into gaming myself with my PS5 I respect the excitement even more :) Iā€™ve never personally played BO but I know it has an amazing soundtrack, or at least one of them did. 115 still plays occasionally on my playlist and I love it āœØ I love the weapon names, especially Balmung; both because of itā€™s name origin and the fact that itā€™s the a name of a dot hack character :P I still havenā€™t gotten a chance to play ZZZ but I have found myself watching the character videos and they are great! One thing that company doesnā€™t skimp on is their promotional videos for sure. Sending positive vibes to you on your next pulls! āœØ šŸ™

>>157650243

Haha itā€™s alright, youā€™re forgiven this time! But next time Iā€™ll send my ghost kitties on you :P lol jk. I absolutely love Depeche Mode! You canā€™t go wrong with any of their songs. I had a hard time choosing which one I wanted to show you guys lol. My second fave would probably be ā€œPeople Are Peopleā€ ā¤ļø Your song rec this week was good! Iā€™m very much a fan of that music style and the music video with it was awesome too. Thanks for sharing! :D

alichuart
>>157657662

Iā€™ve said this many times in my life but I would have loved growing up in the 80s, literally some of the best music and movies! It ainā€™t bad though, at least I got to enjoy 90s grunge and emo :3 I never gave it much thought until reading your comment but yeah, I can see being a ā€˜00s kid is a weird in between generation. I think itā€™s the oldest kid/big sis label for me for seeing people in that generation as young. I know the reality is that they are adults but hey, my cousins and siblings will always be babies to me :P Ok, I was not expecting the Death Metal song to be like that šŸ˜ The ending got me haha!

alichuart
>>157660551

Aww thanks Noct, I really appreciate that! ^_^ Ngl, I donā€™t like my old drawing of her lol. Iā€™m sure itā€™s just a personal thing of not liking my old art but I definitely felt she deserved a revamp. I was still experimenting how I wanted to draw eyes and my linework back then so I felt it looked messy xD I definitely feel you on the always forgetting something thing. It happens every damn time! Itā€™s always something really big and obvious too like paper towels šŸ’€ Depeche Mode forever! You really canā€™t go wrong with any of their songs ā¤ļø I know itā€™s probably a lot of peopleā€™s but ā€œLove Will Tear Us Apartā€ is my fave Joy Division song šŸ˜ I liked your song rec this week! Iā€™ve been sitting here trying to think about the songā€™s meaning (habit of mine lol) but Iā€™m a bit stumped. It was very much catchy though so thank you for sharing it! :D

alichuart
>>157733895

Ok, wow, I am so sorry Moy. Ngl, that is a pretty shitty weekend and Iā€™m sending positive vibes your way in dealing with all that šŸ™ The worst part when things like that happen is when itā€™s right after something good. I remember a couple of years back I had an awesome day with family only to come home to find a spider somehow managed to hatch eggs in one of my bedrooms. That was an absolute NIGHTMARE to deal with šŸ’€ I hope everything gets situated alright and again, Iā€™m so sorry that happened. I hope youā€™re still able to enjoy your tablet though, thatā€™s really cool that you got one and decided to doodle with it! :) As for your song rec, that is probably one of my top System of a Down songs, I absolutely love it and get excited when it plays while Iā€™m driving :P As for Padpa, I do have some old artwork of her, yes! Itā€™s on my DA and other sites if youā€™re curious ^_^ Although Iā€™ll probably end up doing an audio/redraw for her too (shhā€¦donā€™t tell anyone :P) lol.

Well, things are slowly working themselves out. Got the leak fix, need to figure out the fridge, and started moving my stuff out of that room so it's not under a water valve. My pokemon game collection and several DS systems were under there. Luckily I got it all out in time before they got soaked. New phone will get here today or tomorrow, so ASMR will be back on the menu, feels weird going to sleep without it lol I've never seen your DA so I looked it up. I feel like I found burried treasure! There's so much stuff, not sure where to even begin. Might take me a while to find Padpa. Your profile made me chuckle too, Shindo L is definetely an incredibly talented artist. His characters are gorgeous, the spicy aspect of it is just a bonus :P

strobi100

My Weekend was full of Work... I had a 8 Day Week in 6 Days... But I'm fine with it.šŸ˜ I was in the Hospital to visit my Dad but he's not doing so well sadly. šŸ«¤ There was another Man there and he has no Family or anyone to care for him and he's going to an Hospice because he has a little Time left so I spoke to him and improvised a little Christmas Gift for him. I think everyone should have a little Joy and a hug to feel a bit comforted. Seeing these both old Man made me think about Life and my conclusion is to use your Time wisely as long as you can.I played them some of your Audios and they got very happy even they don't understand anything, but your Voice and the ASMR gave them a good mood. My Songs this Time comes from Queen with: "Is this the World we created" and "it's a hard Life". Thank you Ali for your great Content!šŸ˜ŠšŸ’

And I forgot. I love Depeche Mode! šŸ˜ I have a Thing for dark Wave like " Covenant" or "VNV Nation" šŸ™‚

Noct

I still think both look nice, but one seems more refined. Despite liking art a lot, I'm definitely no critic. Well, unless it comes to my own stuff...like you said :P I rarely ever show people my photography because of that reason. Love Will Tear Us Apart is most people's favorite Joy Division song because it's excellent! Talk about proto-goth vibes. I'm glad you liked the rec! It's a little cryptic, for sure. It's actually sort of relevant. I've always interpreted it as the struggle and cost to create art that is true to you and not just to please the masses.

Amadis Anguiano

Just saw your original Lapis drawing way back from January 2022. Awesome that you get to have fun with your OCs to this day!

That was very sweet of you to spend time with him Strobi. I agree that everyone deserves a little joy around this time of year so Iā€™m sure he was very thankful of that! It may sound silly but Iā€™m both happy and shy about the fact of someone in ā€œpublicā€ hearing my ASMR haha! That was very cute of you to do though! Iā€™m sorry to hear about your Dad and hope he gets well soon ā™„ļø Great music recs btw! Definitely a classic band āœØ
