Thank you all so much for the support you’ve shown me this year, I can’t express enough how much you all mean to me! Whether you’ve been here a while or you’re a new Ali cat just know that I appreciate you ❤️ I hope you all have a wonderful and safe new year! I’ll be getting to messages and comments later as I’ll be enjoying a nice drink while playing my PS5 :P

And since I’m posting here’s a question of the week for you. Let’s make it appropriate, shall we? Do you have any resolutions for the new year? :) Mine is to improve my writing, art and voice acting skills to continue making roleplays!

Comments

Delta

Happy new year!! Stay safe and enjoy your drink and games!! And mine is to be completely debt free which like i mentioned before I am so close to being!!! And also get back into shape properly lol

Samsara

Mine is to take better care of my health and try and get out of my shell and be more social.

BloodyAzazel

Happy New Years as well to you too Alichu and Ali-Cats. And as for the QOTW, maybe it could be along the lines of going out more to different places. Who knows, maybe I'll find a gf on my passages as well.

cloudberrybob

My new year's resolution is to get a real life girlfriend instead of just an ASMR girlfriend

Wheniks

Get more money, get more b*tches. Nah I’m trolling 😂. On a serious note. I wanna lock in more on art and improve my skills.

Eeveeolite

I wanna get promoted... Finally make real money. Happy new year!

Kai Zomei

For my new years resolutions: Continue improving my art, resume old art projects and start new ones, move in with my bro and find a new job, reintroduce a karate/exercise routine, and consider other passions like comics, singing, and possibly vtubing

BerryCole

Happy new year!!! 🎊 have fun with the games and enjoy ya drink!!! I know ima relax and get myself a drink here shortly lol. I’m excited to see what new stuff you’ll cook up this new year!! For me tho honestly I wanna actually commit to something like get back into drawing like I’ve been wanting but haven’t been motivated XD and or like learning how to program or something along those lines, also pick back up streaming!! I’ve been off and on wayy to much with those things lol

If want recs for western comics, hit me up. I just got into comics 2 years ago and the western comic market is impenetrable without tons of help

Releothunder

Happy new years Ali! Have fun gaming. I’m certain your gonna become even better with your art writing voice acting your already the best but somehow you keep improving even more I’ve only been here for maybe 3 or 4 months now but in that time you only keep improving and I for one am just happy I get to experience it. My resolutions is to get a better job and be more social become absolutely the best I can Ik getting in shape is a super common resolution but I’m not just gonna get in shape this year I’m going to become the strongest I have ever been physically and mentally 2024 may have been the worst year of my life but I got through it and I won’t let it happen again. I’d also like to find something im passionate about and give it my all and actually make something out of it.

Appreciated, but I'm leaning more manga with my style in general. Was already told in my high school days by my art teacher that doubled as a free lance comic artist that unless you wanna draw the same super heroes established in DC or Marvel, you're better off going indie in the western space. So, for now, I mostly wanna figure my own stuff out and see what avenues are worth putting myself into (even webtoon if necessary).

Miracle

My New Years resolution is to fail to finish my fangame. That way even if I fail I'll succeed.

Shadowkitty

Happy New Year, Ali~ :3 ❤️ It makes me happy to hear you'll be inside and safe for the holiday, I always get nervous for my loved ones at times like these. I'll be on duty myself, (As is my usual haha~ As a seasoned Shadowcat I always try to work these sorts of shifts so the guys with families can get leave. x3) What are you drinking / playing? As for 'resolutions', I suppose I haven't given it much thought. I tend not to, considering how flimsy the whole 'new years' sentiment tends to be. Cultivating good habits and goals requires a good deal more discipline and personal accountability than most people give credit for... I hope you and all the Ali Cats can dig deep and find the drive to make your dreams real this year. ♡ If I had to put something out there, really it would just be a continuation of my ongoing tasks. I've been trying to get myself into the tattoo shop every other month to fill out the last of my pieces. 2024 finally saw the addition of my Brand of Sacrifice and Purity Seals, but I've got a lot of space left to fill. :p I also would like to attempt being more consistent with my own streaming/content. It's often pushed to the wayside due to my commitment to my work (particularly since, as an instructor, I dedicate a lot of time to keeping myself proficient so that I can competently pass the skills to others.), and since I run my channel purely for funsies without any real intention of ever 'getting big' or drawing revenue from it, putting it off is all too easy. xD Time will tell~ One way or the other, all my best goes out to everyone here. May your pawprints rest on blessed sands and resist the withering of time. If you have fitness goals, please chase them, your health is important! Be good and be safe.

Zach Gestes

I wanna get into a trade this year or maybe just college

Kai Zomei
>>159913117

I like graphic novel format personally, as I'm more familiar with formatting around a page for print.

BerryCole
>>159913291

I appreciate the warning but I think I’d be more doing it just for the fun side of things since it’s always been a slight interest of mine, I kinda wanna just learn and see what goes into making games and other stuff like that. A buddy of mine works in programming and showed me kinda what he works with and it’s very interesting so it’s just something I’ve always thought of trying out and maybe programming small stuff like mods or stuff for video games that allow it like Terraria for instance. I’m not too knowledgeable about the AI stuff but I can see why you would say that

SomeGuyHere

Happy New Year Ali! I hope the new year goes exactly how you need it to :) also happy new year to everyone else here! What are you playing and drinking? I’m currently playing Skyrim (I’ve never played and I’m addicted) and drinking crown royal I’ve never really been one for resolutions but this year I want to workout to try and be healthier as well as find a new hobby that doesn’t cost me a ton of money (for example I love pokemon cards and funko pops but they can be pricey 😅). I used to play music and draw/doodle so maybe I’ll get back into those :)

Forgot to throw this in there. I am very happy I found you while scrolling on YouTube this year lol. You’ve definitely helped me relax many times and I love your art as well as the community you’ve made :D

MintyFresh

Happy New Year. And my is to get a better job for my new year's resolution.

God

For my new years resolution i want to get try and get stronger so I can become a firefighter!

John

Happy new year !!!!!

Moy

Happy New Year Ali! I already said all my mushy stuff in the Christmas post :P So I'll just say that I'm very happy that I've found your channel! I've been going through some of your older stuff lately, they're so fun. Both the new work and the old are awesome. I'm excited for everything you have to offer in 2025 :) I was wondering if you would ask this, I'm glad you did. I really admire your dedication to improving your craft. Your passion shines through in your work. I used to hate New Years Resolutions. The last few years I changed my perspective on them, I set myself some small but attainable goals. So here are mine: 1) Take health more seriously. I already think I take care of myself, but I'm a 90's kid, not getting any younger so I want to get a little healthier. 2) Get a part time job in the summer. I don't work in the summer, but I still get paid. I like to travel so I think getting a small job would help fund my next trip without cutting into my regular budget or free time. 3) I've always wanted to make a Pokemon romhack but I don't have the skill set :P (yet?) But I've had some ideas for a story for a couple years now, so I want to get some of that in writing. I think it could also be a fun little mental and creative exercise. Random thought: I was at the dentist yesterday and your 'Ash in the Void' comic popped in my head. I don't think they liked that I told them to stop so I could laugh lol

JanJan

Happy new year everyone! My resolution is to get some more reading done (reading list too long D: ) and explore genres that I don't usually read.

dead to me

Yeh happy new years m8s 🎉 No resolutions, I'm just happy to be dancing on the grave of this terrible awful rotten cursed year. Good riddance ☺️ wishin all y'all luck in the next one

n0ct

Happy New Year, Ali! Thanks for all your hard work and for giving us such a chill place to hang out and chat. I don't think I've said this before, but I actually remember first checking out your Patreon when you were originally getting things going. My only regret is that I didn't join then. You know what they say..."The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The next best time is today." I'll just have to take satisfaction in eventually coming to my senses :P All your goals sound very attainable. I hear that's important! I feel like I'm pretty bad at resolutions, honestly. I'd like to make it a point to enjoy life more without feeling guilty, I guess. I have a bad habit of always thinking there's something I need to be doing instead of relaxing :l Turns out that sort of mentality makes both kinds of activities stressful.

For me My resolution is to get on our homesteading stuff. We did a ok job this year but could have had a bigger harvest if I didn't procrastinate and miss the earlier growing seasons.

Thank you for all of the audios Alichu!! ❤️ Have a wonderful year!! My resolution is to practice art more, try more storytelling and practice drawing on my tablet

Happy new year to you too ! I was with my parents and it was really awesome to be with the people I love the most hehe Thank YOU for your amazing content especially ! That's also why we're all here at first haha ~ I don't pick any resolutions in general, my only real resolution is to get better in an overall view, and I hope I'll achieve it !

>>159913783

Thanks so much for your comment Releo, that’s so nice of you to say! ^_^ I know you can accomplish your resolutions and goals (same to anyone reading!) I think 2024 was a rough one for a lot of us but I hope the new year brings a lot of good things your way ❤️

alichuart
>>159913940

Why didn’t I think of this plan? It’s genius! Lol jokes aside, I hope you have a good year Miracle :)

alichuart
>>159914342

Happy new year to you too Shadowkitty and thank you so much for your kind comment! ❤️ I definitely relate to working shifts so those with families get that time. I’ve had coworkers from previous jobs that I’ve switched shifts with for similar reasons. That’s very kind of you to do that! I can also understand the sentiment of New Year’s resolutions. I used to be against making them as I believe it’s always a good time to make change. It doesn’t have to be at a certain time so long as it improves our lives in some way. I also don’t think people should be too hard on themselves if they slip up either. It’s never too late to get back up and try again ^_^ I wish you all the best with your goals, I know you can do it! Doing things for fun can definitely make it more difficult to stay consistent but you got this. If it’s something you want to do go for it! :) Also, I think it’s really cool to hear about your brand of sacrifice tattoo. I was actually thinking about getting that myself this year :P

Shadowkitty
>>159914342

You really should~! Join the ranks! :3 Normally i'm not a proponent for tattoos that aren't highly individual, but honestly, the Brand is just too good; and it carries so much depth of meaning for those who hold the source material close. In that sense, every Brand is unique in spirit even if visually similar. We are all strugglers, and we all must stand tall against our own nightmares. ❤️

>>159919294

Thank you so much Guy, I really do appreciate that! It means a lot that you enjoy my art and the community here. I definitely want this to be a place that’s chill where we can all talk and relax. For that reason it makes me happy that you feel that way ^_^ As for what I drank and played on new years: Jack Daniel’s and Code Vein! I had a lot of fun and hope you did too :) As for your resolutions, I know you can do it! I think the thought of starting something back up can be the most daunting part. Once we start back up though we can remember how much we enjoyed it. I do wish you all the best and hope 2025 is a good year for you! ❤️

alichuart
>>159921982

Happy new year to you too Minty! I hope 2025 brings a lot of good things your way and you’re able to get a job that you enjoy ^_^

alichuart

You got this! All things considered though I think you may already be the best firefighter around :P I suppose even God can strive to be better even when he’s the best 🙏 ❤️

alichuart
>>159932895

Thank you so much Moy, I’m very happy to have you here too! I always look forward to your comments and it means a lot that you’re enjoying my older stuff as well as the new ^_^ I completely understand the New Year’s resolution thing. I used to be against them as I never thought we needed a specific time to make change. I still believe that but the sentiment of new years is a nice thing and I’ve come to enjoy it ❤️ But seriously, to anyone reading: it’s never too late to make positive changes. Even if you slip up you can always get up and try again! I hope 2025 is a good year for you Moy. Taking my health more seriously is something I can also relate to as a 90s kid. Making a romhack sounds like it would be so much fun too! I’d definitely be down for reading your ideas if you ever posted or shared them. I’ve never had the opportunity to play one but always wanted to! Also, I can’t help but feel like if I showed a dentist that chapter they’d just stare at me blankly like, “wtf is wrong with you?” Lmao 😂

alichuart
>>159936116

Happy new year to you too JanJan! :D I love your resolution and know you can do it. It’s always fun to try new things and hope you enjoy the books you read this year!

Happy new year to you too friend! I wish you all the best in 2025! :D Very much relate to dancing on the grave of 2024. What an interesting but rough year lol 😂

alichuart
>>159945773

Hey, you’re coming in here with one of my favorite sayings! I always love telling people that whenever they’ve expressed that they missed out of that it’s too late. I’m a believer that it’s never too late. New years or not it’s never a wrong time to make positive change :D I also relate to your feeling of guilt more than I let on. I too have a terrible habit of not being able to fully relax and just enjoy things. I have thoughts of “you should be doing this instead” and like you mentioned, it does nothing but bring stress. I’m not sure if this will help but just remember that we all deserve happiness and moments of relaxation. One personal example is that I know if I don’t take those times to read, play games, or watch something I won’t feel inspired to write or draw. Seeing and consuming things we enjoy can help with motivation and ideas. So it’s definitely not being lazy or wasting time if you think of it in that way! :)

alichuart
>>159957723

Thank you so much Strobi, I’m really happy to have you here too! It means a lot that my audios have brought you some comfort and relaxation ^_^ I know 2024 was a rough one for you and hope this new year brings a lot of good things your way ❤️

Moy
>>159932895

Good! :P I always feel like I had a nice conversation with someone after I read your replies. Yeah, I think we're definitely on the same page. What's the saying, "the best time to make a change was 10 years ago, the second best time is now" I changed my perspective to focus on smaller attainable goals because I don't want to disappoint myself by making excuses for a lifestyle change. If I'm making a big change, I have to start right away, not at a certain time. Personally, I don't really think the romhack will ever happen lol But I want to use something I like (pokemon) as a vehicle to create a story that is entirely my own. Just writing even a little bit of my ideas about it would make me happy. And yeah, I'm sure I'll share some of it one day. No point in keeping it to myself. Yesterday at the store I saw a sketchbook. Yeah I bought it along with some pencils. I'm practicing lines and shapes over the next day or two lol I won't call this a resolution, but more of a side quest. I'm pretty excited about it.

Delta
>>159912190

Did you have a good celebration btw? Get the chance to stay with family? ^_^ And one day you'll get there Ali!!! And I'm at the point where I'm happy with my weight again well.. maybe not after these very food heavy back to back holidays... lol but I'll be focusing on things next week and eating healthier!

Secular Succotash

Happy belated new year! I don’t really have New Year’s resolutions since I’ve already got several goals I’m working towards but if I had to do one, I’d like to spend at least 5 hours per week doing specific drawing exercises to improve my art

alichuart
>>160328834

That’s an awesome goal to have Succotash, I know you can do it! I look forward to seeing more art from you going into the new year :D
