Hello Ali cats, I hope your day or night is starting off well as you’re reading this :) This upcoming Friday you’ll be hanging out with a small firefly girl so get your jar ready lol :P This poll will be for the week after so let me know which character personality sounds most interesting to you. For reference she’s going to be a monster girl bartender! 🍻 ✨

Question of the week is this: What is your favorite form of exercise? Mine is probably walking/jogging and lifting weights!

Comments

Mento

Kuudere are alway Cuutedere.

BlueAsh173

Get the jar ready? What do you mean by that? 🤨 Jk, but I personally like sit ups or squats for a work out. Cause it's the easiest.

itssimic

Exercise.... Lifting weights are my absolute go to. Tho I hate cardio which is ironic cause I enjoy playing pick-up basketball. Now a Oneesan bartender? Just give me whisky on the rocks.

AngrySandwich

Bartenders deal with people at their worst. Being kuudere would be a survival mechanism. My preferred workout is playing Frisbee/tag/whatever in the water in summer. You don't realize how much you are pushing yourself in the moment. Shame I can only do it for a couple weeks a year where I live.

G

Favourite form of exercise? Hiking in the mountains and hills - but when that's not possible, running. Hated it when I started, but damn does it feel good when you finish a run!

Eeveeolite

An older, wise bartender sounds accurate! And for workout? Gyms are expensive, so I jog outside, and lift adjustable dumbbells at home.

Delta

Had an...ok day, coworker called it so I got her work dumped on me and she did nothing to get it ready, it was all jacked up D: hope yours was better! Ooh...a blunt kuudere bartender goes together just as well as a jack and coke :P Hmm... I have to say walking/jogging, I use that time to listen to music or Ali ramble :P lifting weights is neither fun, nor not fun for me

Releothunder

I enjoy lifting weights the most speaking of which I finally got back 405 deadlift again whitch made me pretty happy last time I went to the gym but I do like to walk alot especially if the weather is nice. Kuudere monster bartender sounds nice to me so that’s my vote. Also firefly’s are so cool I feel lucky because a bunch like to hang around my house all the time one of the few insects I don’t mind and they eat mosquitoes Whitch are my archenemy’s. Hope you have a great day Ali!

cloudberrybob

I hate all forms of exercise, and this is coming from someone who works out every day. Cardio is like 95% suffering and 5% ecstasy. Lifting weights is actually just painful. I'm pretty people just enjoy feeling strong instead of the process of becoming strong

Zypher Zai

Swimming! I just love to swim!!

Two_Hoots88

My preference is definitely lifting, but I try to get my cardio in with my heavyweight punching bag. Its easier on my back and a great way to release stress 🥊

Kench

Maybe I'm a bit too online, but I got PTSD flashbacks when you told me to get the jar ready 😩😩 Either way, looking forward to it! For next week, I've always loved the vibe of a bartender that feels experienced, just refined and knowledgeable, so the older and wiser vibe my vote, but it's hard to feel bad about the cute option. Re: Exercise, usually I'd say strength training, 'cause lifting heavy weights gives me a rush stronger than any runner's high I've ever gotten; but I also play DDR at high levels, and a few sets of that shit at song level 16+ is the best cardio workout I've ever done, while also being a different, just as enjoyable kind of fun as moving iron. ...Course, even though I say that, I still do a lot more walking and jogging than strength training, since I'm more interested in losing weight than I am in building mass or building power, and I've found cardio is more effective for me than that. 🤷‍♂️

SomeGuyHere

I gotta say weight lifting and yoga. I started going to the gym again finally and it feels sooooo good! But because I feel like a dried up sponge from sitting at a desk all day the yoga might be slightly higher :P

Moy

I guess the answer to the poll depends on what kind of bar I'm in? But I voted for older, I enjoy talking to my bartenders and I've always had a better time when talking with someone thats a bit older. Probably cardio because it's on a machine I can probably do or watch something. If I didn't live in a very flat state, my answer would probably be hiking. It can be very painful but it's so rewarding when you're gifted with a beautiful view and just surrounded by nature in general.

Kai Zomei

Walking is probably my easiest exercise to do. I like doing martial arts type workout, but requiring a proper dojo makes that difficult to do

Kraiden

Swimming is definitely my favorite, but since it's not easily accessible for me, I end up using the stationary bike more often. It's a good alternative, but nothing quite beats being in the water. :D Also, a monster girl bartender sounds like a really fun idea - definitely looking forward to that one! 🍻✨ Going with Cute/Curious this time, but wouldn't mind the others as well. :3

Support Main

I like abs/calf/ lower leg workouts

BloodyAzazel

"Get your jar ready." Can't wait to turn this firefly into a globe jar. Walking or jogging is always gonna be my favorite workout. It surprised me that I read that you lift weights. I don't really see much muscle you have Alichu, but maybe we just need to wait until you have another gym girl asmr or something :P

Shadowkitty

Hmmm... Generally speaking I'm very fond of the Kuudere option, but I think that thematically for the occupation of bartender the classic role is best suited to someone wise and almost like a mentor or sage, in a way. The mature, well-grounded voice of reason that listens calmly and offers sound and simple advice. For QotW; since you used the specification 'favourite' that helps boil everything down a lot. Though I practically live in gyms/training areas considering the physical demands of my work, as religious as I am about PT it's not necessarily because I enjoy most of it. It's quite honestly a matter of simply never wanting my personal fitness to be the shortfall that may or may not affect a life determining outcome. xP But! I am an avid enjoyer of martial arts and in particular swordsmanship, and training for such is genuinely something I consider a joy rather than a chore-- Even if it takes me nearly twenty minutes to get in and out of my armour if I don't have help. I actually purchased a brand new set of plate for competition this year! My old kit was getting a little worn down, and though I put off replacing it for as long as possible out of attachment/comfort, I had to finally admit it couldn't really take much more beating. Jogging and lifting are basically all you need! Get a good push/pull/legs 3day cycle going and mix in some mild distance runs and you'll be faaaaaar ahead of most people honestly. Ganbatte! :3

Emeraldrop

Hello Alichu! I shall capture the firefly yes, I hope cute wins, need cute firefly. Favorite form of excerise is defintely walking, just is the easiest to do.

Sir Skelington

I used to run track in high school, so I like to run when I can. However I particularly like doing pull ups. I have a vendetta against them lol. When I was in like third grade we were told to try and do a pull up, but I couldn't and a girl in the class under me could... so ever since then I want revenge on that exercise specifically lol. Currently I'm doing weighted pull ups, my weight plus the added weight is 290 pounds.

God

Weight lifting and sprinting but the bench is definitely my favorite!

ELS Official

Calisthenics are my go-to! Every necessary muscle can be trained, and plus it's nice to be able to work out at home if your like me and have 12 hour shifts...

strobi100

I really like Cardio, here in the Alps are some nice Places to do exercises in Nature!☺️🫶🏻

I guess I should say, I hate cardio in the sense of just running on a treadmill or crossfit, but sports cardio I'm fine with that. 🤣

alichuart
>>167454118

I love swimming and water activities too! That reminds me that I haven’t been to a beach in forever >.<

alichuart
>>167455838

I go to the gym sometimes but find myself working out at home more also. Sometimes it’s more convenient depending on how busy the week is but either way, jogging ftw! :D ✨

alichuart
>>167456211

Oh man that’s the worst. Sorry you had to deal with that! Hopefully yesterday/today was better. Jack and coke is delicious, a very good choice! ✨

alichuart
>>167456969

That’s awesome, good job on the lift Releo! :D I’m excited to walk more now that the weather is starting to get warmer. I remember catching fireflies when I was younger, which is funny because I hate touching bugs! Lol 😭 I didn’t know they ate mosquitoes though, that’s really interesting :)

alichuart
>>167457017

Haha that’s a fair statement Bob! XD I was watching an anime recently where the workout/sporty girl secretly loved the pain 🤣 I tore a muscle a month or two ago so it’s been nice finally being able to lift weights again. But like you said, it can be painful. All in the name of stronk! 💪

alichuart
>>167460141

I always imagined I’d like a punching bag. Maybe one day I can get myself one! 🥊 ✨

alichuart
>>167463296

Wait, wait- is there something I’m missing with the jar? I swear I was only referring to catching fireflies with it! 😭 It took me longer than it should have to realize that DDR stood for the dancing game lol. Here I was for a solid two minutes being like, “what the heck is ddr?” 😂 I can imagine that’s really good and fun exercise though! ✨ When I was younger I had a bad habit of excessive exercise via cardio. Pair that with a restricting diet and it was a bad time 💀 Now that I’m older I try to put more focus on protein and muscle. Everyone is different though and cardio is definitely great. Any exercise is good exercise when done correctly!

alichuart
>>167463376

I’ve never really given yoga a proper try before. Now I have attempted some but never really got into it to see if I like it. I was also worried on if I was doing it correctly 😭 I should give it another shot sometime! :)

Releothunder
>>167456969

Well they eat the larvae I not sure about fully grown ones but they help keep mosquitoes numbers down.

alichuart
>>167463522

I’ll be honest, I’m secretly hoping for the older option because I like the idea of a mature/older monster girl giving me a drink haha! XD I’ll have fun no matter which one wins though ❤️ Thank God for music and television. If I didn’t have one of those I don’t think I’d be as consistent at cardio! Whenever I do crunches I’m always putting something on the TV beforehand :P

alichuart
>>167466176

I can see doing that being a little difficult without a dojo for sure. I think martial arts is really cool though- I wish I knew some! :D

alichuart
>>167470066

Swimming is such great exercise! Like you said though, it’s not really easily accessible to me either. I mean I could go to a public pool but…eh, not my thing xD I’d much prefer out in the ocean or a more private pool/swimming area!

Kai Zomei
>>167466176

It's definitely difficult cause some open space without things to easily knock over is hard to come by. I mainly know Karate, but I was exposed to some grappling from mma circles.

alichuart
>>167482314

To be fair I’ve had to take a month break from weight lifting since I tore a muscle in my arm 😭 But now that it’s healed I’m back at it! I want to be stronk! 💪 Even so, jogging/running is probably my favorite- along with crunches!

alichuart
>>167482935

I mentioned this to another Ali cat in the comments but I’m secretly hoping for the older/mature choice to win haha! All for the reasons you listed too lol. Something about a wise monster girl bartender seems so fitting. Although I’ll have fun with whichever choice wins! ^_^ That’s so cool about swordsmanship! I’ve never done anything like that before but it sounds very neat. I can imagine that’s a good workout too ✨ As of now I’m trying to make 4 days out of the week workout days. Sometimes it’s a little challenging with work and other responsibilities but I try and it feels good! :D

alichuart
>>167486733

You can never go wrong with walking. It’s simple and calming with the benefit of being outside for a little while! :)

alichuart
>>167492824

I feel you Skelly! I could never do pull ups in school either. Hell, I’m not sure I can do them now since it’s been forever since I tried lol. But you got this, you can do it! 💪 ✨

alichuart
>>167502626

I agree, I love any workout that doesn’t require anything other than what you can do solo. It’s also easier to integrate into a busy schedule so I find myself doing those a lot too! :)

alichuart
>>167575309

Working out with a nice view is really nice! I don’t always get to see one but when I do I always make sure to appreciate it :D

Shadowkitty
>>167482935

Four days a week is a perfectly good working set! Fitting things in around the responsibilities of 'adulting' is always a pain, but you've got it. :3

Kench
>>167463296

Nah don't worry about it, I've just been online too long. Catching fireflies is the natural reading and I kinda smacked my forehead not too long after making the post for not having that be my first thought 😅💀 It's a reference to an at-this-point-ancient internet story about a dude who... 'mistreated' some of his MLP merchandise. The central point of the story is the jar he kept it in, and that sort of got stuck in my head a bit too hard. Quite a gross story, and not even the fascinating or fun kind of gross either. Don't recommend looking up details. Totally agree on the good exercise bit! Glad that you're building your body the way you want to ^^ You got any favorite workouts or exercises you do?

Delta
>>167456211

Another one called out today, and I also got stuck with his work D: And if think I mentioned it before, but fireball and Dr pepper is amazing!
