Happy Saturday Ali cats! Here’s the full art of our recent bartender character :D I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out. I tried some different shading/highlighting techniques so we’ll see how it goes from here on out ^_^

I plan on spending today working on some fanart since I’m currently caught up on ASMR stuff. I’ll also be getting to some comments/messages throughout the night too so thank you so much for them! ❤️

I’ve been listening to more Japanese music than normal lately and I found a new See-Saw song that I love! They made a lot of the dot hack music btw :P This one I think is for Gundam ✨ I tried my damndest to figure out the translation of this song. I think it’s called “Edge of Romance” ? I’m still trying to improve my Japanese so if anyone knows and I’m wrong let me know please! As usual feel free to post song recs of your own! :D

Wow thee art for this character is amazing she is so pretty the shading looks really good the gradient on the tail is cool and the red eyes contrast really well with her outfit and skin aswell absolutely stunning 11/10 masterpiece! The new hex maniac design looks really nice hoping that wins the poll it would look incredible in your art style im certain. My song recommendation is the spy x family opening mixed nuts it’s just a super chill song great to just relax and vibes to. Hope you’re having a great Saturday Ali!

Eeveeolite

Oh wow she's so pretty!!! Wasn't expecting her to look like that. Also great song!

WE GOTTA DRINK AT THAT BAR AGAIN

Kai Zomei

Nice art is nice. The song feels so classic for anime openings in the 2000's

Why is Soukaku from ZZZ out bartender? (It's does look really similar to her, minus the fact that she isn't young.) I was In a situation today that I have to talk about today. Ok, so if you remember before, my little brother got into a car accident months ago. Today he finally got his damn Mustang (a 2024 Mustang Mach E) that he's been bitching to my parents about after that time has passed. After I see the car, I go ahead and just kinda tell him the joking part about hoping he crashes that car, and then my mother asks me to stop. She then later asks me if I want a new car too. I told her that I don't really want a new car. Once my father and mother come back from dinner, my father asks if I want a new car. I also told him no, but then he says, "It's because you don't want to pay for the expenses, don't you?" Followed by his tipsy drunken laugh. I told him that if don't want a new car not because of the expense for it, but it's because I've still got my car that is my first one. It still runs and there are no bad damages to it, so why in the hell do I want a new car. Sure it may be new and probably one I'd like, but I'm alright with what I have now. I don't need some damn fancy/expensive car if I'm already Ok with the car I've got. If anyone on here was put in their situation, please tell me what you would do/say/ask, etc. Because I'd really like some insight on this. (Edit: After a thorough talk with my parents, they've both agreed to get me the same car as my little brother in 2 months. It was my call if I wanted one and I said yes.) For the song recommendation today, I'm going with the FNF Indie Cross mods, specifically Cuphead. I really like the involvement he does with the songs, doing even damage moves he does in his game while also singing along with his songs. His songs consist of these 3: 1. Snake Eyes 2. Technicolor Tussle 3. Knock Out

The art looks amazing as always! Clean, cute, and very Ali~ Work stuff has finally sort of stabilized and I'm happy to say my interview to keep my own darn job was a great success. Lots of familiar faces aren't around anymore though and my old team has been completely scattered which is a bit of a bummer, but we'll adjust. Recently I've been listening to a lot of Easy Life, Easy Curry by Asaka while cooking, and I'm actually eating a Japanese Yam as I type this as well. I find other types of yams either too squishy or too flaky, but a Japanese yam air-fried for about 30 minutes and left to sit a bit while it finishes cooking is a warm tasty treat for any occasion. Snagging a bite of yam and then a bite of croissant is a good way to make a janky yam bread snack as well (even if it's a little janky)

Thanks for the drinks and conversation, Oneechan~ That was a rough topic for me but.. You know, for a demon you ain't so bad... :p Usually I indiscriminately favour the Frieren/Orcbolg approach when dealing with demons or gobbos but.. Ali is over here trying to break down my primal urges as a veteran adventurer. >.> Your artwork seems to be coming along really well, I can tell when you're focusing on different techniques like in this piece or the recent neko maid. Catchlighting and soft shading really draw me in for most styles so it's fun to see you hone your skills. :3 Gundam has really truly had some banger tracks over the years, hasn't it?? Super iconic. I keep an entire playlist comprised of various anime Openings and Endings, there are so many that are just downright *good*. ...But that isn't the playlist I'll be running with for my recommend this week.. Certain tasks require certain vibes. x3 KORDHELL - 'Killers from the Northside'

Love the artwork, but is it just me or does this look like Soukaku from ZZZ? Don’t mind if you intended it or not, but she looks nearly identical to her

I really appreciate that Releo, thank you! :D I wanted to push myself with the colors this time, particularly the shading so it means a lot ❤️ I’m also familiar with your song recommendation this week! I haven’t watched all of Spy Family but it is a cute series ^_^

I wasn’t familiar with the character you mentioned but yes, she does look similar after looking her up. Happy coincidence I suppose xD I did have a character a long time ago that looked pretty similar to this monster girl. I had an obsession with black and blue together back in the day. I’m having a bit of a hard time giving any input/advice on the situation since I’ve never been asked if I wanted a new car 😅 I feel like my first response would have been yes but having a new vehicle does take a lot of money and upkeep (heck even an old one does), so it’s really your decision based on your situation, etc. Either way, it sounds like you went with it though so congrats! :D

Someone else mentioned this too but it wasn’t my intention xD I don’t play ZZZ so I wasn’t familiar with the character, but I do see the similarities after looking her up. I had a demon character back in the day that was blue/black themed so that was my inspiration, along with wanting to use some different colors for shading/highlighting practice :) I’m glad you like it though, thank you! ❤️ **edit; I hit enter too soon and it didn’t save my comment lol

I really appreciate that Christopher, thank you!! I put a lot of work into this one so your comment means a lot to me ^_^ It is always a bummer when familiar coworkers aren’t around anymore. It can change the work dynamic so hopefully everything is going well for you still ❤️ I’m happy to hear your interview went well though and you were able to keep your job! It’s funny you bring up Japanese yams because I just learned recently just how much I love them too- they are so delicious!! ✨

I appreciate that a lot Shadowkitty, thank you!! I worked especially hard on this piece with the shading and trying out different colors. I know I tend to stick with pinks and lighter tones but I wanted something a little different this time. It also gave me vibes of an old character I made as an edgy teen (she was a blue oni/demon girl with a red/pinkish sister). Seems I can’t get away from sister duos when it comes to characters lol :P Gundam songs always hit, I agree! Tbh, I don’t think I’ve ever heard a bad See-Saw song, they are just so good ✨ I loved your song suggestion this week too; that beat was so good!! ❤️

Emeraldrop

Happy Sunday Alichu! I love the look of the bartender <3 I also see her horns look familiar to that of one your previous demons

Delta

I like the direction your art is going Ali! Haven't listened to the audio yet (or the rambles for that matter...) but I think I'll be saving them for an upcoming trip next Friday! Have you had a good weekend so far?

Happy Sunday to you too Emerald and thank you so much for your comment! She does look a lot like my pink demon from back then, maybe they could be sisters haha! :P I did have a demon sister duo back in the day; I couldn’t help but think of them while making this character ❤️

Sir Skelington

I really like the art. I've a soft spot for blue anime girls. I recommend the song Brother by Gerard Way.

I do too! Despite my character being pink themed blue holds a special place in my heart :P Also: an excellent song choice this week for sure ✨ ❤️

Thank you so much Mento! It’s kinda crazy to think it’s already gotten to that number! XD
