Let me know your thoughts on the roleplay question! I thought it was a fun conversation topic for us cats :P

Thanks for the ramble, Ali! I am quite new here but I’d like to chime in on the conversation here! For the question you had, for me it mostly depends on the type of audio that I am listening to, but most often I find myself trying to immerse myself in it! Makes the audio feel more personal, and it also helps to take my mind off things that are stressing me out for example. Also definitely keep up with Wuthering Waves! The story can feel a bit slow and the pacing is a bit weird at the beginning, but it pays off during the latter parts of the story! Thank you for everything you do, and have a nice rest of the day! :3

That’s the worst of course it went out when you wanted to cool down the most being hot and sweaty and feeling gross really is the worst. Southern heat is no joke definitely a good call going to your car to cowldown I know exactly what you mean though I’m pretty resilient but sometimes the heat still gets to me I’ll get a bloody nose and feel noxious when I get too overheated I know I need to just take a break and the day after I’m just still feel exhausted. I’m glad to hear it got fixed relatively quickly and your feeling better though I wouldn’t wish heat like we’re getting on my worst enemy might want to get yourself some box fans just encase I always have like 2 spare fans for just such an occasion. I feel like I tend to do both I’ll just enjoy the audio from a 3rd person perspective and after I listen to it if I’m still awake I like to think about what I might do if I were in the same situation just as a thought experiment i certainly enjoy all of your story’s though both for relaxation and sleep aid aswell as just entertaining and interesting story’s also just wanted to say you genuinely have thee most pleasant voice I have ever heard and your range and ability to tonal shift matching your voice to each character are very impressive honestly can’t believe you haven’t been signed as a voice actor yet. I think ZZZ just got added to Xbox game pass I was considering playing it but I feel you on the storage issue my Xbox is completely full.

When it comes to role plays I do both, sometimes I just listen and sometimes I play along 😂 like in the Kitsune girl asmr I was playing along. I haven’t played Genshin since Klee was released 😂 which was years ago, being playing ZZZ a lot since it got added to Xbox but had an account since day one, also been playing BlueArchive I recommend that one as well!

For ASMR, it honestly depends on the mood and setup. Most of the time, I imagine myself more like a third party - just watching the interaction between the listener and the monster girl from the side. It's easier to follow along and take in all the little details that way. But on relistens, when I already know what's coming, I sometimes slip more into the listener's perspective and enjoy it on a more immersive level. On the gender topic, I really appreciate how you include everyone. Hearing a "good boy" or "good girl" that's actually aimed at you just hits different. So the F4AC (Ali Cat) route is highly approved. x3 Wuthering Waves is quite good, hope you enjoy it! I really liked what I played, but I kind of dropped off after the first content patch though... Trying to fit that in with Honkai Star Rail, Genshin, and ocassionally ZZZ was just too much. 😅 Totally get what you mean with Genshin, too. I stopped around Inazuma, so when I came back, I had quite a bit to get through with Sumeru, Fontaine and Natlan - but it was worth it. xD Mostly focussing on Star Rail now - the turn based gameplay is something im more invested in at the moment, so it's a good fit.

Southern heat is absolutely no joke.. especially when you don't have any insulation. I've started sleeping during the day to get it over with. Doesn't help that the sun won't set till 8:30! Fall can't come soon enough. As far as ASMR perspective, depends on when I'm listening honestly. If I'm just listening to something as background noise, I don't usually get immersed in it, but if it's to sleep I'll try to take the role as the listener- it actually makes me fall asleep faster. Wuthering is a cool game, stopped playing it pretty early because I came to realize I just don't enjoy open world games with gacha systems. Still play ZZZ though, it's a lot of fun. Oh yeah, coincidentally, it's actually my birthday today. Don't know what I'm gonna do, usually just end up going out to eat something, but I don't have anywhere in mind. Maybe sushi. Probably Sushi.

Trucker here and working in the southern heat is pure suffering. I tend to put myself in the rp or asmr it's just nice. Your voice is nice! You are so wholesome! Well most of the time anyway lol. I played a lot of gotcha game and I feel burned out on it. I'm down to just 2 or 3 at this moment.

I'm glad you're okay. You had me a little worried as you progressed with your story. I hate heat waves. I'm not in the south, but the place I'm from was founded on top of a swamp. We get 101 in the summer and -20 in the winters, the best of both worlds! 🥲 When it comes to listening to ASMR, I like to roleplay along with the story. Especially at night when it's time for bed. I close my eyes and the story and voice of whoever is talking basically become a focus point. Playing along helps me clear my mind of anything else and I think it makes me sleep faster too. I don't think your stories usually target any specific audience. But I think that's also a good thing! I like that you tell the story that you want to tell. There's plenty of asmrtists that specifically only do F4F or F4M, you could typically guess how those stories go and end lol At times I feel like I'm only listening to them because I like their voice and not the script, but don't tell them I said that :P I don't play gacha games. I don't trust myself so I just stay away lol Every now and then a video will come across my YouTube feed titled something like "Why I quit gacha games." They do a good job of scaring me away I guess.

I'm one of the people who started this conversation, so you already know some of my thoughts. I mainly listen in third-person. Making up a character and a backstory that fits into the audio keeps my brain busy and helps me relax. The big issue I find with gender-specific audio is that it's completely useless most of the time. Usually, the speaker uses a gendered pronoun once or twice near the start and never mentions gender again. You've done this before, as well. Focusing on unspecified audio is a good way to avoid this annoying trend. Though, as I've said before, it might come off as a bit unfair that you occasionally release tagged F4M videos, yet the last tagged F4F was multiple years ago now. I play a few gacha games, though I don't spend much money on them. I mentioned before that I managed to get myself into being a gacha VTuber's moderator, and my time there has been interesting. Being active in a community with a bunch of gacha players really shows how crazy some people are about them and how reckless people can be. Unlike many people, this does not scare me away from playing gacha games. Instead, it inspires me to keep going while spending less. If they're dead set on wasting money on a video game, at least I can feel better about myself knowing that I'm doing just as well or even better while spending less money.

Having the AC go out during this heat wave is certainly something else. As per your question about ASMR roleplays: Firstly, I do find roleplays more enjoyable over just noise trigger ones, as I feel roleplays feel like they give reason to the noises used, while the latter comes off as random. While I do like relaxing to ASMR, I use it more for focusing as opposed to putting myself to sleep, so purely sleep-aid ASMR don't really do much for me and I'm not sure how you're supposed to fall asleep to ASMR as a side sleeper like me. During the roleplays, I guess I do find myself engrossed somewhat in the story and try to envision myself somewhat in the scenario, but I'm not sure if I treat it as 100% me in that scenario, even when the roleplay is intended as GFE. In short, it depends on the roleplay. I guess regarding the other things you brought up regarding the scenario of the roleplays, I do enjoy F4A as much as F4M (I just consider F4F as not being my targeted demographic), I think when it comes to comforting the listener, saying both "good boy" and "good girl" in the same audio may come off as confusing, but for now I just roll with it. It also sounds like you're doing basically what you think suits you best, and I very much appreciate it. You're basically my favorite ASMRtist at this time that gives good variety to her story-telling without leaning too much in the horny way. You're character writing is good, and I feel like I get to enjoy the story and interactions as much as the sounds, whispers, and triggers. I respect the work you do, and regardless of what paths you take in the future, will still show my appreciation for the roleplays I like. I hope you enjoy ZZZ when you get the chance. I've been stuck on the Nikke grind, so gaming in general has been tough for me, though I do wish I could get back into ZZZ myself. Hoyo games in general just feel way too bulky in general, but I respect the work put into them.

Glad your air is getting fixed, I know how bad it is when your ac doesn’t work. Personally when listening to asmr, I usually just turn it on for white noise while doing other things. But when I am trying to sleep, I can actually enjoy the triggers and your voice, which always knocks me out :) I would definitely recommend ZZZ! I never really enjoyed Genshin or Honkai when I tried them, but Zenless is very different from them and I love the gameplay a ton. It’s still early in the overarching plot so you aren’t missing much. I recommend it

Shorter ramble time, cause we melting out here! Glad you got your A/C fixed, because it is scorching out here. Southern heat is no joke. For role play? I’m usually look in the perspective of a spectator, third party. Just watching you talk to the deuteragonist; Listener-kun. Personally, I think being more inclusive with a they/them is ideal, unless the gender of the listener is relevant to the plot. You’ve done some F4M here and there, and I feel that many folks automatically assume the listener is male. The bug island series on YouTube is F4F, and pretty much any time the speaker (ie you) has a romantic interest that isn’t the listener, (such as with the hex maniac or the weird girl) are usually female, so maybe the F4F enjoyers will like that. Hopefully. I think I get what your saying about the shyness for F4F, since most, not all, but most F4F audios usually have a dommy mommy feel to the voice, but I don’t think a deeper voice is necessary. I think you make them happy 👍 Haven’t played withering, but I am a Genshin fan. It sounds that you stopped at Sumeru. If you’re done with the game, I still recommend watching the story quest for Fontaine. Because it’s just the chef’s kiss. Especially Furina. That’s all I gotta say! Enjoy your day Ali!

Hi, pretty new here but I wanted to try commenting since it seems like a pretty relaxed space. I'm sorry to hear about your aircon, it's freezing where I live rn and I know my girlfriend would die if our heater stopped working 😭 I listen to asmr as the third person usually, as sometimes the things the listener does in the roleplay is so different to how I'd react that it feels jarring, but I definitely appreciate keeping it inclusive to everyone since I prefer f4f audios. The thing about being shy about your voice is understandable, but I think it's really nice! I have been playing Honkai Star Rail for the past year and a bit and it's the only gacha I play, I tried infinity nikki as well and enjoyed it but my pc is too bad to run it well so stopped 😅 I have heard from a friend that they enjoy ZZZ a lot though, and it seems a lot more friendly to f2p and people who haven't played since launch. I like HSR a lot because of the characters lore and story, but its a lot to get into initially and its grinding is pretty bad unfortunately. Thank you for the audio! I've really liked listening to the rambles on here and have been making my way through the stories on patreon to sleep and they have helped a lot! Have a nice day/week!

I am glad to hear your A/C is fixed! Nausea is a classic symptom of heat exhaustion, and definitely something to watch out for. The important part of listening to ASMR for me is usually a physical sense it triggers in me. I am looking to believe in (or suspend disbelief in) an experience, which can... vary. It can be a sense of proximity, a sense of anticipation, a sense of fear, a sense of comfort. (This is rapidly getting too vague to be useful, lmao.) The roleplay can be a very helpful component and I frequently relisten to good stories, but it has to be more than that. The ways that ASMRtists give audios a sense of reality, through triggers, through directional audio, through voice affectations, through perceived proximity, these all help to evoke that sense. You are very good at providing direction with your voice, emoting, using triggers, and writing interesting stories. Plus art! 10/10 literally everything I could ask for.

So glad your AC is working again! I definitely remember some days back when I lived in New York having to escape into my car to sit in the AC for a while between classes or other things. Glad to not live in that kind of weather any more For listening to ASMR role plays I definitely immerse myself in a third-party way, in a sense in a first person perspective, but as if observing from the point of view of "the listener" or "Listener-chan" or whoever it is that the speaker is listening to. That is to say, as if watching a show where the camera is presented as being "behind the eyes" of one of the characters. Definitely not myself being talked to by the speaker. Both in the sense that I'm not role playing along with, and that I'm obviously aware that I'm lying in bed and listening to my cellphone speakers Depending on the personality in the ASMR role play, though, I might entertain myself a bit during the speaking pauses to wonder how I would respond if I was the listener, or to see if I can guess what the speaker is going to say the listener responded with before the speaker does so. It does allow for some "Yes, I got it!" or "I knew it" moments, but also even more moments where I'm completely surprised by a story response that I did not expect, which is all the more enjoyable. But if a story going on in an ASMR is even more enthralling I might not be doing any thinking at all, just kind of glued to the audio and suspensefully waiting for what comes next until the recording is done It also makes me really happy that you are so inclusive to everyone! And I am also absolutely sure that your voice is completely suited for F4F audios just as much as it is for everyone. There is an innumerable variety of ladies in the world and listening in on the internet, and it is beyond a doubt that there are many who would find your voice perfect for ASMR or just in general. And while I am not a girl, I always do find it a nice thing when an artist isn't just catering to boys or men or males because that's a target audience or because the data shows that's what would bring the most success. So that you writer and perform your role plays with story in mind first is the best! And that you acknowledge the girls that would happily listen to you, too, is all the better

I can relate to that ac problem my moms car which I use too, ac broke recently and the repair cost is like 2000 so we're just gonna have to wing it for summer 🥲. My house is also basically a sauna during summer I have 2 small fans but they might as well not exist XD I had an ac unit in my living room the one with the tube that connects to a window, but somehow a gaint beetle flew in through a little crack and landed on my face at like 2am which scared the shit outta me,so I'm trying to figure out how to patch that crack before using it again XD. I listen to asmr as like background filter or like you said sorta a 3 party pov so whenever I'm trying to sleep or playing games or something that doesn't require me to listen to the outside. I personally don't mind the neutrality of the gender in your asmr in fact I do thinks it's nice especially for people who don't view themselves as one or the other or feel more comfortable with the ambiguity of it. Its normal to have a little bit of self doubt and I think you've certainly made it past that fear even if you still have a little bit of self doubt, you have a large and growing base of female supporters who really enjoy your asmr and your art which adds a nice touch, as it's nice to see your works along with your asmr instead of like just some generic anime girl background (not that it's a bad). Also this might just be me here but I'll go out on a limb here, I'm not sure how to explain it but I think people really enjoy the naturalness of your voice if that makes sense like, it doesn't feel forced, not over the top but like it's you which I think people really enjoy if that's makes sense 😁

Emeraldrop

3rd person is kinda how I listen to your asmrs, I think of myself as an observer to the listener's story.
