Really wish I could get in on the Catnip tier for a Nikke card, but hope folks. Sounds like the Nikke you got the sign card for is Nero; kinda funny the similarities between you two. Guess I should've brought up to you my Birthday being today, but that's on me and for being a bit busy. Happy Birthday to those other Ali cats.

Boring is good and healthy. Everyone suddenly became a rage baiter online and that's really taxing. That's exciting! I play Nikke and didn't even know they had cards games for it. My favorite is Elegg! Your mom is funny! Absolutely embarrassing 😳 🫣 I would have died lol. My sister and Mom was the same way. Now that my sister is in high-school and help from my twin and I she been able to get kinda along with our mom. Also being the go between when thing get heated helps.

I had to look up what a Spencer's store is, but that was a pretty funny, if embarrassing thing your mom said while holding that teddybear. It sounds like she meant well, like she was just excited to validate something she thought you connected with, even though she was a bit off the mark on which sub-culture as far as black and spiky apparel goes XD Glad you're having fun with FFVII and your cards! And very much hope you enjoy getting to prepare for October!

That’s awesome you found some pretty cool cards and a signed one sweet! Naw I’d just die if that happened I rarely go out and even less with my family but I can imagine since none of them have an inside voice they already tease me about my anime clothing lol. Oh this items sounds so familiar like and while I’m almost certainly wrong I’m thinking plastic toy keys. My memory is rather odd I can remember like a random off hand comment from a conversation I wasn’t even a part of but can be in the middle of something and totally forget what I was doing while I’m doing it for like 5 minutes I don’t normally forget how to do things and even if I do I usually only take me a couple minutes to get back into the swing of it though. I’m so ready for the spooky season speaking of spooky things I came across a funny concept but bone marrow produces blood so should reanimated skeletons be covered in blood 🩸? Have a good workout Ali get swole💪

Ooh! Heck yea with the cards!! I don't play Nikke myself, but I'm always down for more waifu cards :P btw, take any pics of the grumpy neko one? And ooh.. Ali-Mama outed your secret in the middle of the store? Tsk tsk :P should be keeping that stuff more private! Also, tbh, I've never played FF7, was never a Sony kid so I never really had any Final Fantasy games aside from the OGs, and FF7: Crisis Core for the PSP. Also, for the memory thing, I'm similar, but maybe not to the extreme like your are tbh ^_^; And as for the Kuromi thing... *takes notes* "Ali likes Kuromi... good info for Christmas and birthday" And agh! That sounds sounds so familiar, like it's on the tip of my tongue but I just can't remember it!! What was it?

I don't play Nikke but I'm glad you got some cards. And a signed one too, that's awesome! I don't like playing too much gacha games because sometimes I just spend too recklessly lol Uma Musume has been very unforgiving to my wallet. Lmao. That story with your mom is hilarious. She exposed your secret! You can't go back to that Spencer's anymore! The other story is awesome too. It's also funny, but it's also pretty endearing. The sound is nice. Not sure what it is though. Something wooden with mechanical function? :P I would word it as you having a good longterm memory, but a poor working memory. Working memory is basically stuff you access right away. I tend to forget small things like taking out the trash, going to pump gas when i'm low, you know, small stuff like that lol But other than that, I think I have a very good memory. I'm normally not a big Halloween person, but there are some exceptions. Aliween is definitely one of them lol I've said it before, but my favorite audios that you make are always the darker ones. Halloween being around the corner means I might get to hear a new one :D I'm sure the art you make throughout the month will be awesome too! This is exciting :)

I don't know much about Nikke, so I can't add much there. I suppose I can say that I'm not really a fan of "stereotypically sexy" designs and massive breasts. I CAN talk about Sanrio, though. Cinnamon is considered a basic pick by many people. Essentially, he's an OG "industry plant" character. He's insanely popular because he was specifically designed to be so. Cinnamon, though male, is rarely depicted as particularly masculine. Also, though his main color is blue, the artists always make sure to include a lot of pink as well. On top of that, the Cinnamoroll cast is by far the most fleshed-out of any Sanrio property. There's Cinnamon, Cappuccino, Espresso, Mocha, Chiffon, Milk, Azuki, Coco, Nuts, Shirotaro, Berry, Cherry, Poron, and Corune. All of these characters have distinct designs, lore, and personalities. The creators specifically stated they did all of this on purpose in an attempt to appeal to as many people as possible. In the Sanrio popularity rankings, Cinnamon has never been below the top 10 since the year he debuted, when he was a JP-only character. Cinnamon has the second-most consequitive and overall wins, at 5 and 7. The only character with more is Kitty White, who has 11 and 14. Cinnamon's win streak was broken this year, but only because of an online hate brigade that formed against him. A bunch of people banded together to vote every day for every dog character that wasn't Cinnamon. The top 3 of the 2025 ranking were all dogs, and Pompompurin barely managed to beat Cinnamon. Interestingly, people seem to have a very different reaction when it comes to the other industry plant, Kuromi. Originally, Kuromi was just a member of the My Melody cast. You had Melody, her "best friend" Sweet Piano, and the troublemaker Kuromi. As time went on, the American branch noticed that goth culture was growing increasingly popular in the West. They decided to rework Kuromi into a misunderstood rival to Melody. Kuromi quickly exploded in popularity. Outside of Japan, Kuromi is now far more popular than Melody, largely due to her unique presentation. I suppose the big difference is that many feel Cinnamon is "safe," whereas Kuromi was a calculated gamble that paid off. In terms of a natural rise, Chococat probably fits the best. He's essentially a nobody in Japan, yet he regularly tops the charts in the US and Brazil. I think this is due to people in the Americas seeing simplicity as cute, whereas Japanese culture has evolved to the point where simplicity is boring. Chococat was abandoned in Japan, but over the years, he was given more of a personality in Western media. Interestingly, this has led to a rare case where the popularity of a character outside of Japan has positively impacted the popularity in Japan. Shared releases, such as the Island Adventure game, use the Western depiction of Chococat. This has led to Chococat gaining a Japanese popularity boost for the first time in years.

It sounds a little like that one caterpillar toy that Pillowdear uses for ASMR content on her channel. I think her community voted to call it Megatron.

Mint chocolate supremacy!! I've loved that flavor since I was a little kid, and I was already an adult by the time I learned that some people didn't like it. Completely baffled me; I guess I never considered mint as being a toothpaste-first flavor in the first place so I couldn't get it. Congrats on the Weiss find! That's a game I originally wanted to learn to play but the lack of product I could find was one of the two big barriers to entry--the other being lack of people at my LGSs who play ^^"" I haven't seen the Nikke cards in person before but I do like the art a lot. (Nikke is pronounced "knee-keh", but "knee-kay" rolls off my tongue a lot easier so I usually pronounce it that way, it's close enough that most English-native speakers don't care ^^) That shopping story with your mommmm 😭😭 Accidentally insinuating *that* to a group of strangers had to have been mortifyting, but on my end where I'm completely shielded from it, that's pretty funny 🤣 My mom has a similar temperament, I can completely see it in my mind's eye so easily. The fact that it sounds like she means well and probably has no idea what she actually did makes it so much better 🤣🤣 This was a nice, relaxed story time for me to come back to after some time away, I'm glad I got to listen to it.
