Free Friday night ramble for you all! I didn’t have much to chat about this time but I hope it was still chill to hang out for a bit :D

If you have any scary Halloween movie recommendations or games you think would be fun to stream let me know! ✨

Left 4 Dead 2 isn't really a horror game once you get used to it, but it's fun and fits the theme. It's not really "fun", but Alien: Isolation is still probably the best horror game ever made. And, obviously, Hello Kitty Island Adventure for the Kuromi birthday event. I ended up making an unlisted playlist on the channel for non-music videos, so you can check some of those out if you want. By the time you read this, Mash Mix 8 should be uploaded as well.

Eeveeolite

My go to Halloween movie has always been John Carpenter's the thing. I LOVE that movie! For games? Hmmm, a lot of pretty decent short steam horror games have been coming out lately. Dread Flats was actually kinda scary, might be fun!

Oh man I wish it were cooling down here the low on average is like 90 in the shade lol. My family isn’t big on Halloween so thee only place in my house that ever gets decorated is my room Sounds like a fun Halloween I’ve watched a lot of scary movies but i do enjoy thee insidious series not very scary but I find them kinda funny but as for me on Halloween idk if im gonna have to work or not but tbh I don’t mind working to much on Halloween I get to see a ton of people in costumes and a lot of my coworkers dress up so its normally pretty fun maybe I’ll get the courage to dress up myself this year if I do have to work on Halloween. That’s creepy as shit you got a wailing banshee at your apartments💀 That’s awesome you’re getting your computer early I hope it all comes together just how you imagine all this talk of streaming is pretty exciting you can count on me to show up if I’m not working! I guess I already gave you a recommendation on a game but I’ll definitely have more. Was nice to chill out to this while eating some new pumpkin spice almonds so good work was so busy today I’m tired. have good workout Ali💪

what pc specs did you end up going with? movie recs: my go to is Alien but you've probably seen it some other stuff i'd seen semi-recently: Insidious(meh at best), Halloween(the reboot trilogy, 1st one is good, the other 2 are mediocre, but worth a try if you like slashers), Sinister(it's alright), like Eeveeolite said, the OG The Thing(absolute classic, always a great watch); be wary of the 2011 prequel/remake tho, it stinks Silent Hill(oddly enough for a movie adaptation of a video game, it was fairly decent), think i'll personally go with Terrifier this time around, i stumbled across the 2nd movie last week, watched for a few minutes and decided to see the whole thing later. re: games, i can vouch for Diablo, been playing Diablo 2 on and off for 20 years, mostly modded but some vanilla too. D3 and 4 aren't as good but they ain't bad either. other than that there's a lot of games i could recommend but idk what genres you like(aside from TCGs). i mostly play arpgs tho so can drop some names if you'd like.

HalogenIceCream96

for movie rec's I say the nightmare on elm street series, and give those old classic universal monster movies a watch too.

Miracle

Horror doesn't seem like the type of genre that can be rewatched. You already know what happens so you can't get jumpscared but it works for you then go for it.

I recently watched ‘The Lost Boys’ and had a blast. Definitely recommend. I’d also recommend; - ‘Idle Hands’ (1999). It’s more on the goofy side of the horror spectrum but still a fun watch. - ‘Overlord’ (2018). I saw this in the theater when it came out and it was probably one of the most fun experiences I've had watching a film. - ‘Return of the Living Dead’ (1985). Zombies you can't kill, a kick-ass soundtrack and Linnea Quigley dancing in a cemetery. What more could you ask for? - ‘Mandy’ (2018). Another one I saw in theaters. Even if you're not that big on Nicolas Cage, this is an absolute gem with one of the best movie villains of the last decade. - ‘[REC]’ (2007). I know found-footage gets a bad rap but it is great when it's done properly. Very intense, especially towards the end. (Whatever you do, avoid its U.S. remake ‘Quarantine’ like the plague).

I hope you're able to take Halloween off!! Got plans to dress up for it? As for the movies, I know I recommended it before, and I see Eeveeolite recommended it too, but John Carpenter's The Thing from 1982, it's hands down my favorite body horror, suspenseful horror monster movie! Also Stephen King's The Mist, the movie, not the horrid series, that's another fave! I've also heard great things about Sinners and Weapons which both recently came out. As for the sounds you heard, you think it may have been a bobcat or something? They do sound a lot like a woman wailing and crying when they scream.. I have had an experience like that though, was half asleep and woke up to some sort of banshee screaming outside ...turned out to be someone doing doughnuts just down the road... lol and I feel you about the sleep ear plugs, I'm far too paranoid to use those either.. lol And can't wait for you to get your computer!! Did you nail down the parts you want?? And as for the games, for the long time streams, Oblivion is always a solid choice! For horror, I mentioned the ChillasArt games before, some are paranormal in the horror, but some are... very... real in the horror and dark.. feel like it'd be right up your Ali!

Not so much going on is a good thing imo. Life doesn't need to be exciting all the time. Sometimes being able to do nothing after a long week is its own reward :) You should post a picture of some of the things you decorate. Especially if you carve a pumpkin! And taking a day off work to celebrate? I've taken days off for less :P Enjoy your day off! We all deserve to treat ourselves every now and then. I'm not very big into horror movies. But last year a good friend of mine watched a different horror movie every day for the month of October and then ranked them at the end. I thought it was really cool. I should ask her if she's doing it again this year so she can pass down the recommendations lol Holy hell, what an awesome early gift from mom! I'm so excited to eventually watch your streams. And a potential model debut? For a short ramble this one is loaded lol Maybe you could have a model for Ali and then eventually make a toggle to change her outfit to one that looks like Ash? Not really a computer part or game, but I recommend a capture card for the PC that you can use to hookup your PS5 or Switch. That way you can avoid issues like when you did the Shiny Hunt but had to post the captured Pokemon because of the camera.

Thanks again for the birthday wishes, Ali. It was a fun weekend with my parents visiting, and I got to enjoy sleeping on my new mattress last night, that was the gift from my parents. I don't tend to celebrate Halloween majorly, but maybe I can pull out this Spookytown house, I bought last year, out of storage and set it up in my room or somewhere. I can sleep pretty soundly at night, but if there's a notably loud noise, like a thunderstorm, then I can be woken up easily. I probably would be as creeped out, or more so than, as you were if I heard such wailing outside my place. That's so cool your mom will help you get a new computer. Best of luck on the streaming bit, and it reminds me of how I also thought about wanting to try streaming too, but keep putting it off cause life keeps getting in the way.

Celebrating Halloween at new apartment! Hell yeah! You planning on making Halloween theme foods and drinks or nah? Also, since it's Halloween, you gotta spill. Whats the best candy, and the worst candy? 🍭 Also AliMom coming in clutch with the help. Mothers, gotta love em. If you do start streaming, and use either models or PNG. I will absolutely be the devil on your shoulder and say you should absolutely get both and play as them both interchangeably. For movie recommendations, like yourself I am paranoid near sleeping time, but unlike you, I don't watch horror. I don't like to be stressed, I'm not a thrill seeker, or crazy, I'm a relaxation seeker. The only horror esque movie I've watched was Horror House by the Wayan Brothers. It wasn't scary, but it was funny. 🙃 Game recommendations? Obviously some pokemon would be cool, but for the eventual horror games that'll be played, nothing wrong with the classic Outlast. 👍 Either way, have a good day. 😊

Congratulations on the computer!!! Pass on all of our thanks to your mom for accelerating the schedule a bit, I'm really excited to see what sort of setup you grab. No shame in getting someone else to build it, either! It's going to make things soooo much simpler. I put my current rig together myself and everything failed at every step in the process, from fans that didn't fit, to getting sold bad RAM, to a faulty blinking monitor, and a hard drive that didn't slot into the motherboard properly--even the case was too small for all of the parts and I had to get a new one, since my compatibility checker software didn't account for how even though individual pieces all fit the case, they didn't all fit *together*. ...All that to say, I'm never building another PC myself ever again and I will never judge anyone who does the smart thing and gets someone else to help out 😆😆😆 ------- I'm not setting up for Halloween yet myself; I'm a bit of a season purist 😅 I don't think I'll ever be able to get really into the spirit for Halloween until October 1st, but I am glad that it's not getting completely swallowed up by Christmas, either. Definitely noticed that start to happen a bit before Halloween ran outward into September to escape. But it sounds like that ghost story is making things scary though <.< It's been years since I've had any stories even close to something that sensory, and a lady loudly crying outside your window would give me shivers. Especially if it was one of those ghosts that locks onto you once they realize you can perceive them, that's a big creepy one. --- Hope you enjoyed your workout and all! You got me inspired; sometimes I'll miss a gym day because I have something going on and I end up not making it up later; but I'll make sure to hit three days in, plus at least one cardio day, no matter what, before next weekend! --- Have a good week, Ali ^^ You mentioned a few times that it feels like nothing big's been going on, but even the computer aside, it still feels like this ramble was pretty filled. Sounds like even with no big life-changing events going on, there's still quite a bit to smile about this week ^^

I have a few recommendations on some games. If you don't already have a steam account, you can set one up and put the ones that look interesting on your wishlist. Blasphemous 1 and 2: Pixel art Medtroidvania with a cool art style. Blood West: Western themed spooky looking fps that's real fun. Coromon: Legally distinct monster catcher game pls don't sue. Darkest Dungeon: Eldritch themed party management game with a great art style. Dead space 1 and 2: Horror games with a great feel to them and fun to play, skip 3. Fear & Hunger: Not really a stream game, if you know you know. Granblue Fantasy Relink: Basically a gacha game without most of the bs. Kenshi: Might not be your type of game but it's got a great world and if you like games that punish you it's something to look into. Metal Gear Rising Revengance: Just trust me, it's good. Phasmophobia: Boring alone, but with friends it's a lot of fun, ghost hunting game. Resident evil games: Obvious. Witch Hunt: Simple game but it is surprisingly a really good little horror game. Tormented Souls: Similar to Resident Evil games, horror game. I thought that some of these might be something to look into, although some aren't really going to be a good test of a new pc.

Hello Alichu! I'd recommend the movie 9 (the one with living dolls) And for games I'd recommend Fallout 4, as buggy as it is I absolutely loved playing the game
