Hello ali cats! Kinda a weird thing to say/ask but do any of you hear weird ringing in this audio? Along with my PC this is the first time I've had a decent set of headphones as well. I don't know why but every now and then I hear ringing even when things aren't playing >.< I'm kinda confused and just want to make sure my audio quality sounds normal or better so please let me know! I based the sound off the volume levels in Audacity so hopefully everything is still good ; w ;

If you're hearing ringing noises when nothing's playing, it's likely a mechanical problem. Try testing the headphones on another device if you can to see if the issue is your headphones or the computer [and test other headphones on your computer as well to see if the issue persists]. If it's an issue with your computer and not the headphones, try using a USB Soundcard/DAC [you can get them as cheap as $10 on amazon] to bypass your internal components

Setting up rooms and large desks and computer set ups can indeed be very time consuming undertakings! And that's not even considering external factors that can add frustration and unexpected delays and strain But it can also be such a considerable relief and sense of catharsis once it's all ready to go and available at one's fingertips and all the stress and struggle is behind and out of mind! Hoping you enjoy all the new learning and processes you'll pick up on your streaming journey!

I didn't hear any ringing, so I agree with Anon you should test your headphone setup. By ringing, do you mean like tinnitus type ringing or a digital tone? If the tinnitus type, see if your headphones have Active Noise Cancelling (and it's turned on), it could be that (the headphones trying to cancel sounds that aren't there). If it's a digital tone, if they're wireless headphones, it could be the sound of them reconnecting to bluetooth/the connector.

No Ringing on my end it sounds good. Yeah that would be horrible if the desk got damaged and yeah that sucks driving 2 days to pick it up for it to not be there. looks really good that’s it put together now. Oh and I meant to ask but did you get a uninterruptible power supply with your set up if not I’d definitely recommend looking into that if you have power surges or outtage it could damage your pc and a ups would be able to prevent that. I might be able to help a bit with some of the twitch stuff I used to stream bit over there and I’m a moderator for a few destiny streamers so I’ve got a bit of experience with it. Make sure you take some breaks here and there we all wanna see you succeed but not if it stresses you out to much or makes you feel like you have to stream take all the time you need! I don’t know much about Honkai star rail but I saw a character called feixiao and she looks really badass and wears a cool mantle! Hey atleast your self aware about your wow addiction id like to try wow but i have to wait tell i get a pc myself though always thought it looked fun just never really got around to it. Thanks for this chill ramble Ali i had a bit of a long day at work im still on the job hunt but it sure does feel like a waste of time sometimes ive done so many interviews that just don’t turn into anything at this point its horrible i really wanna start making more money ive got so many things i want and need to do but they just all need money my current job just doesn’t pay enough. Anyways i hope your weekend is going better then mine love seeing you doing so well i hope you have a lot of fun with the learning process I’ll try to help in anyway i can!

Such exciting times!! Honestly take your time with the learning. I'm gonna be dropping some hints here and there but if you're anything like me, you gotta mess with stuff to really get a feel for it. If you get stuck, Google searching and seeing the answers on reddit threads are a life saver for solving niche issues. No audio ringing here. I looked up your headphones (I think you said on twitter they were razer barracuda?) and it seems to be an issue with wireless interference. Try and unplug the dongle and plug it back in somewhere else away from the mouse dongle to see if you get any improvement.

I didn't hear a ringing. And I think I can speak everyone here, that there is no pressure for you to start streaming right away, even if it's bad or you just starting. Everyone is just excited to see you stream and play games, and we're all willing to wait for that. Both of my friends do stream, one does it on Youtube and the other one does it on Twitch. I'll ask them if they got any pointers, but it may take some time because I only meet up with them once a week on Fridays.

Setup does take a long time, but it's definitely part of the fun! Seeing the picture you posted on twitter, you did a wonderful job setting up. Heavy furniture is the reason why everyone needs at least one friend or family member with a pickup truck lol Take your time with the streaming stuff. I don't think most of us are expecting you start right away. The only thing I know about Twitch is that you get hit with an ad while watching at the worst possible time. Never played the dot hack games, so I would be interested to check it out You're the only reason I even know about them lol There's a PS2 emulator I use called PCSX2, super easy to setup too. The only issue is that you require a PS2 file so that people aren't just pirating games. Luckily I know someone with ummm... an extra ps2 and a few other consoles you can have so you can take their bios files and put them in a folder. Yeah. :P I had messaged a friend regarding horror movies. She replied with a freaking 31 movie list that's her schedule for October! She told me to watch Strange Darling, so that's my homework for the week. Unless it's something you have seen before, idk how you watch movies while doing other things lol

Building PCs is like playing with Legos or Minecraft, it gets a lot easier once you get the hang of what you're doing Maybe extremely overwhelmed is a sign you may want to give yourself a little break? Take all the time you need.

I’m glad you’re aware of your addiction and taking steps to control it lol, in all seriousness though it’s gonna be fun seeing you stream at some point! Unfortunately I’m no help when it comes to computers, I bought a pre-built for that exact reason, but I’m glad there’s techie Alicats to help out! Also I had the same thought when watching Scream during my own horror watchlist, the guy who played Stu (Matthew Lillard) is an awesome actor, I forgot how much fun he was in Scream. He’s also in the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie (which of course I had to watch) and speaking of horror movies, if you’re looking for more suggestions I highly recommend The Autopsy of Jane Doe

Wheniks

And don’t forget to stream the best game ever made in all the mankind …..Minecraft!!!!! lol

Think I can hear the ringing? It's like a low hum, don't know if it is an audio issue or a PC fan, pump. Runescape was like my crack as is WoW to yours. Loved that game. Need to watch long legs along with Secular's The Autopsy of Jane Doe.

The .hack series is an absolute classic. While I haven’t played it in years it’s something that still has a special place in my collection.

looked up your pc's specs on twitter, it's an absolute unit. i actually wanted to get those exact same parts earlier this year, but had to go a step down(7800x3D & 5070Ti) due to availability. enjoy your new system, you'll have no trouble running anything. love me some Evil Dead, have you seen the tv show? it's pretty good too, stays faithful to the movies imo i've had Longlegs in my backlog for a while now, a friend recommended it but i forgot to watch it, thx for the unintentional reminder xd

Delta

God, I feel kinda bad not warning you about the sketchiness of that area the PC shop is in until after you got it! Lol but yea, you got an absolute beast!! Listened a couple of hours ago so I may miss some stuff, but definitely not expecting you to jump right in and be all set to go with streaming right from the get go!! I don't know much about it either, but I'm sure the vtuber I got you in touch with knows! And I'm sure either her, or I can get you in touch with others for any questions! Btw, you'd need a capture card for your ps2, and personally, I'd love to watch you play through the .hack games! Also, yea! Gonna remind you again and again until you watch it! The Thing is amazing!! :P and I'm gonna have to watch Long Legs, I was figuring it'd be about spiders.. I guess not.. lol And like I mentioned earlier, no ringing :P

Glad everything managed to work out im the end for ya. From what I could remember, you had a solid build spec wise. For my PC I built this year: Ryzen 5 9600X, 32 GB ddr5 RAM, 1TB ssd, Radeon RX 7800XT 16 GB graphics card, and 750W power supply. For the Vtuber/PNGtuber stuff, thankfully setting up a PNGtuber is pretty easy, and I can even DM you what I have set up on my OBS and PC for that and send ya a vid or two on that. Rigging a Vtuber is definitely more work, but will say you'll want Vtube studio at the least, and make sure you got a decent webcam or Iphone for capturing your movements; I can try looking back up on resources about models and dm you that if you'd like, as well. Sounds like some decent content to start with. Sorry about the loss of your Hoyo account due to the age verification thing; I think I managed to save mine before that. If nothing else, you can make a name for yourself as the .Hack streamer. Best of luck to ya, Ali.

I'm back it took forever to keep my promise but I broke it not and now I'm here to stay for the foreseeable future

I do wonder what game you played on your new pc first, for me when I finally got a good pc I decided to play a game that even at that point was like 15 years old lol. I'm sure you already know but every few months you'll probably want to clean it of dust and stuff, keeps it running cooler and is not a great idea to not clean it for like a year, don't ask how I know.
