Thank you for the ramble Ali! I enjoyed listening to you talk as always it was nice to hear about the genre you love I always enjoy learning more about you it's fun oh! And I thank you for the audio coming later today I have no idea what it is but I'm sure I'm going to absolutely adore it as always so I might as well thank you now right? Oh and thank you for letting me know about the patron audio tomorrow too while it is lovely to be surprised with audios it's also pretty nice to know they're dropping let's me be excited in advance ya know? I’m not sure what my favorite genre is per say but for me I’ve always resonated a lot with any character that has to go through tremendous odds alone and keep going regardless even if they fail in the end I’ve always struggled with loss and I guess I wanna be able to push through alone even when I lose something or some one important to me so alot of the story’s I enjoy tend to be dark and many times don’t end well like tokabi original sin I related a lot with Shizuka and just the sheer loneliness she felt. While I’ve heard about most of your favorites story’s already hearing your thoughts and reasons behind why your enjoy them is really interesting I can see why they are so compelling to you being young and being forced into dealing with adult problems is something I can relate to that myself to an extent everyone has to learn to deal with things differently as you grow up and while most of our hardships aren’t as dramatic as these story’s they are still mean full and shape us as people. As I grew up I became very jaded as a teenager and to a degree I still am but I try to see the positives more these days. I hope you continue to find more story’s like this you enjoy and can learn from and I’d like to watch some of these myself particularly FMA I’ll probably just have to watch brotherhood cause I can’t find a way to watch the 2003 version. On the spot I can’t think of anything to recommend but I’ll edit the end of my comment if I do. Anyways thanks for the Ramble Ali always happy to hear the thoughts of my friend catch yuh tomorrow!

Prefect timing, I wanted to get some character sheet writing done for my story and an ali ramble is just the perfect thing to chill to while i write. Honestly I think I definitely prefer a darker setting and not necessarily always a positive ending, sometimes my favorite media just kinda ends and nothing is good for anyone but that doesnt ruin the ride. Cyberpunk both the game and the anime have a dark Cyberpunk world and generally have downer endings but the point is that the ride to that ending was worth it even if the ending was less than ideal. Another thing like that would be one of my top 10 anime devilman crybaby where I'd say after episode 3 or 4 nothing ever really goes right and it definitely ends in the worst way for everyone but its a wild ride that actually makes me feel something. Generally I think any media that makes you feel any emotion is great and thats why darker themes work so well as they exploit a lot of different aspects that really get under your skin and make ya think. Usually I tend to relate to characters in these media's that put on the face of its not getting to them only for them to be the ones who care the most when something happens to others around them not even necessarily to themselves. Tldr devilman crybaby and cyberpunk are fantastic prices of media where its a dark Rollercoaster that just derails after a certain point and id gladly experience them again as its just a perfect cocktail of emotions that just makes you feel all the emotions before the endings just sucker punch you. Also loving the new cat girl, she's got the most laid back vibes and just seems like a down to earth kinda lady you'd love to talk to.

Another book club! Yes! Come to think of it, I've never sat down and thought what are the common themes I enjoy in different stores. I know things I like and don't but never drilled down to the core like you have. You have definitely given us something to think about! Thank you for another great ramble.

I think I can understand what you mean Alichu, I have a similar interest for that in books. I can't exactly give a recommendation for a single book because I largely read series. Voyage of the Jerle Shannara is a three part series, it starts off as your normal typical fantasy story but it does get grim and has some dark themes. I don't think it'd be exactly what you're looking for but could still be worth looking into, as always thanks for the ramble
