A whole gesture drawing?

In only 30 seconds?

Are you mad?

Maybe!

"30 seconds?! I can barely draw 2 lines in 30 seconds!"

So what is the point of a 30 second gesture? How can it be beneficial to our gesture practise?

In this video I highlight 8 Top Tips for better 30 second gestures, which will ultimately lead to improved gestures of longer lengths.

----------

  • How often do you practise 30 second gestures?

  • What was your favourite tip?

  • Do you have any additional tips for us?

In my life drawing class 2 minutes was the quickest. So 30 seconds is still a bit too quick for me. 1 minute is fine now. Your tips were great. And also the tip to start with the focal point of the action.
