Realtime Gesture Video: Playful Everyday Poses (Patreon)

The winner of this month's model pack vote was 'Playful Everyday Poses' from Studio Grafit.

If you like the poses you see in this video, you can grab yourself the whole pack with over 1000 photos HERE.

This pack is a bit different to what I usually choose to draw but it was a nice challenge to approach poses that are more 'everyday'.

Even with simple poses, find the contrast, the angles, even if they are subtle.

-----

Poses like these are great for artists drawing characters doing normal world stuff. Suitable for character designers, graphic novel illustrators, children's book illustrators, storyboard artists.

Depth is really important to suggest the 3D environment, it will bring more life even if your world is stylistically 2-dimensional.

-----

The pack came with several different sections, including, books, umbrella and more.

Stay tuned for the next video, which will look deeper into 'Boring Poses' - those poses you need for quieter moments. I will show you how to draw these boring poses with appeal but without stealing the show.

Rhythm and flow always exist in the form, even when it is subtle.

-----

What other kind of everyday poses would you find helpful?

PS. I tried using music all the way through the video behind the narration. How was that? Was it distracting? Was it nice to have the music in the background?
