POLE DANCE / / Realtime Gesture Video (Patreon)

Better late than never!

My apologies everyone, I know this video and one or two others are coming in late. I've had to prioritise some illustration work as deadlines are coming up faster than expected in the rush before the holidays.

What a pack you chose for me!

The Pole Dance Pack was the winner of the Model Pack vote in November and at first I wasn't super psyched about this pack. but when I downloaded the pack and saw all the amazing poses and was so excited to start!

I actually just did a little play around with some of the photos in Procreate and ended up drawing a bunch of them! But of course I didn't recorded them in realtime!

So I returned to the pack, with my camera setup and drawing on paper to bring you what is in the video!

The biggest challenge with this pack was the fact that she is not interacting with the floor plane in most of them, like how we are used to drawing the figure.

The model being high up and the photographer being lower, allowed for lots of fun with the perspective, foreshortening, contrast, silhouettes, etc.

I highly recommend purchasing the photo pack from Obscura 29 for your own studies, it is one the most enjoyable packs I've drawn in a long time!
