🧠 Easy Nuerographic Art With Simple Lines 🖋️ (Patreon)
Content
Let’s make some neurographic art with a backyard-inspired twist! In this relaxing and playful art exercise, we’ll turn three simple dragonflies into a colorful mixed-media painting using curving lines, waterproof black ink, and watercolor.
For this piece, we’ll:
🦋 Draw three simple dragonflies〰️ Add random, flowing lines throughout the drawing🖊️ Trace the lines with waterproof black ink✨ Round the corners where the lines intersect to create that signature neurographic look🎨 Paint the background sections with warm colors💙 Paint the dragonfly sections with cool colors🌿 Watch a simple collection of lines turn into a colorful piece of art!
I love this kind of project because you don't have to be a great drawer to enjoy it. The random lines take away some of the pressure to “get it right,” while the color choices give you plenty of room to play and experiment.
And, of course, you can make yours completely different from mine! Try different insects, flowers, leaves, or whatever little bit of backyard inspiration catches your eye.
