Today's Game Patch, 1.122.205, seems to have broken something fundamental with how mods load into the game. Many many many mods are broken right now including BMD, WW, and WP.

Rest assured, your favorite modders have already begun to look into the changes and what can be done to get things up and running again. Most of us weren't really expecting many mods to break today (it's typically the expansion pack patches which cause the most mods to break) so this has blindsided us as well. It can be difficult to predict how long your favorite mods will be out of commission, especially when so many mods are broken right now. But rest assured, we'll be getting things patched as quickly as possible. I'll be on discord and in the Parteon's chat room providing the most up-to-date info as possible. If you plan to play your modded sims 4 while we are working on the patch, then I highly recommend you disable updates or play without mods. You can do this by opening the EA app, looking for the 3 horizontal bars in the upper left corner -> Settings -> hit the download tab just below settings (It’s not immediately obvious it’s a tab) then click off update games automatically, I’d probably disable ‘Enable Background Downloads’ just to be safe too. Then hit the 3 horizontal bars again and hit ‘go offline.’ This should prevent the sims 4 from auto-updating while your Mod Authors work on patches for you. If you want to be extra tinfoil, so shiny and chrome, you can disconnect your computer from the internet too. And honestly, this time, I'd recommend doing so.

No patch needed, WP is safe after today's game update.

If you guys get the failed to launch game error, first try restarting the app, if that doesn't work, then try a game repair (this fixed it for me) if that doesn't work, try temporarily removing any custom lashes you may have (worked for someone else). Your UI (such as ui cheats) will need a patch if you use them.

On behalf of all your favorite modders, thank you for your patience. We are really going to need it this time.

I went to test how broken it became with the update, and I discovered that even the initial menu doesn't appear with the mods.

Thank you for addressing the issue promtply I have it to not update auto but it still does but then I don't play offline as I use gallery a lot so probably why it still auto updates but I can wait for things to be fixed

I really feel for you! The good news is that maxis is aware of the issues and looking into it. So, hopefully they'll release another patch by tomorrow, or the next day. But we really aren't sure. You might be able to try doing something with windows restore, but honestly I'd recommend just waiting with us if you already updated! I'd roll back everyone's game if I could <3

Lol, I'd really recommend it for this one. This patch is, i think, the worst sims 4 patch we've received. I'm calling an exorcist now.

I even checked my program files to see if I could revert to a previous version with no luck rip. Still appreciate you and hope I can get back to playing with your wonderful mods soon!

Thank you for the email I was wondering what was going on last night I was trying everything I could think of until about 1:30 am this morning and then called it a night. I moved my mods folder removed stuff added it back in and still nothing was working didn't know what was going until about an hour ago. Ugh Hope they get this taken care of will remove my mods folder until they get all this taken care of. :(

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that! Maxis devs seem to be working on it right now, something was broken with how mods are loaded into the game. It's very likely we'll need another patch from maxis before we can start patching our mods. Hang in there <3 (and don't burn yourself out trying to find a solution! Trust the modder community to find a way!)

Oh gosh.... I'm going to say yes* Ui mods need to be updated. Eyelash mods might crash your game. Some people still can't even get the game to load. Some of these people have found launching directly from the exe instead of through the app lets them load, some others found that repairing the ea app itself lets them load into the game. Here's what I say, if you already have the update installed, then when you run the game do a 'save as' a brand new save, so you'll have a pre-update backup of your save. Then play as normally. You already rolled the dice, and not everyone is experiencing problems. If you haven't updated, hold off for a while longer, play on the old version of the game. If you have updated and you can't get into your game, maxis is still looking into bug reports and trying to figure out what's going on. Take a break, let them work through it. After reading through: https://forums.ea.com/discussions/the-sims-4-mods-and-custom-content-en/failed-to-launch-error/13264167 (which has more ideas on how you might be able to get into your game). *It seems like many people can get into their game, but there's still a significant, probably minority (or maybe majority, i don't have the stats!), who are experiencing pretty big troubles.

Hello I am having an issue where I can select the escort call center lot trait but never actually receive any calls. I am registered as rose and I have updated all the files in my mod folder, everything else seems to be working. Any idea on a fix? greatly appreciated, thank you.

All safe!!!! If you experience issues with autonomy, try saving as a new save and then load into that save. Don't overwrite an old save. This will clear some additional caches in your save file itself. Ofc, if you are getting a Last Exception, don't hesitate to send it my way, and Il'l be happy to take a look!

hello, i tried to use the mod but i got everything what i need etc but it seems i dont find the apps nor any options such as register as lily nor for the succcubus to become that as well everything else such as items etc works but i cant see the stuff anymore, tried to see if i had conflict mods so i just used at most basemental and whickedwhims and XMLinjector but still nothing... i really atm at a los what is going on cause before it worked fine but i had to get a new SSD cause my older one has been either corrupted or died.. never had this before.

I'm sorry about the SSD! That can be so frustrating! The most common cause is an installation error. Script mods can't be further than 1 subfolder deep from the root (Mods) folder. This means 'Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 / Mods / NisasWickedPerversions / files go here` is okay but 'Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 / Mods / Some Folder / NisasWickedPerversions / files go here` is not. If you are getting any Last Exceptions, then please send them my way, and be sure you are using the latest version of Wicked Whims and Wicked Perversions, and the game. For my mod, also check for duplicates. An out of date version of WP tuning could cause this issue. Go to your The Sims 4/Mods folder and search 'niasa' without quotes in the upper right corner of the window. Wait a few moments. If you see any duplicates pop up, delete them all and install just the latest version of the mod. Next, make sure you are testing with a young adult or older sim and look for the tam explorer on any mouse and keyboard computer in game. First thing first, focus on getting that Lost Eden tab on the tam explorer back. If that's not there, then it means my scripts aren't fully loading into your game for some reason, or you are using a sim too young to try to access the page. After you tried these things, or found a Last Exception to send me, let me know by replying to this comment and we can move onto the next step, if needed.

i have it as just basically lose files how it suppose to be installed and shows correctly as well on the game mods list too, i can buy the items from the build mode etc and find them but not like lily or other apps. i tried to delete and do anything as well im not sure how or what but there are also sims that are having the prostitution thing but i cannot register my sims as one basically etc then. i never put basically Folders in the mods folder only .package .ts4scripts at most only. also i have no nisa logs the folder is empty so far so there is no logs about stuff.

Hey Unisty! when you say are unable to interact, what do you mean? Is it all Interactions, are the interactions grayed out with a tooltip above them? Are you getting any Last Exceptions (LEs for short)? If so, you should find them in your The Sims 4 folder, one folder above your mods folder.

Hey I'm so sorry for not being able to respond from the deleted comment from before! So when I go to have my sims interact with the succubus sims, everything is just gone. There's a "More Choices..." feature that appears but even then, all of the social interactions are missing. I'm not sure if it's an LE issue or not because I've deleted all of my last exception files and localthumbcache so I'm not too sure what it could be.

Hum, that sounds... strange. I'm betting you have a Last Exception. Just load up the game to test the same scenario again, and if you were getting a Last Exception, it should regenerate in your The Sims 4 folder.

Ermagerd, there's nothing in the LE! That's not great. Here is how I recommend moving forward. Do a minimal install test. Rename your mods folder as something like mods2, then create a new Mods folder. Copy over Just WW, WP and BMD/MCC/BE if you use them. Run the game, but DO NOT SAVE. Just verify you can get into the game with no last exception. If so, then move onto 50/50ing next. Basically, add chunks of your mods back in until the error pops up again, then, when it does, remove mods from the last chunk until the error goes away. I wish I could tell you what that may be, but that error is super blank! The process generally sounds more painful than it actually ends up being btw!

when downloaded the mod it wasn't showing any of the options and making my sims unable to talk or do anything, just glitching into a T pose, so I wanted to know if the mod was broken?

Hi I wanted to ask do the brothel part of strip clubs not work anymore with your mod? I use to use it like a year ago and the customers at the club would become clients no problem. But now its not doing that.

Make sure you are testing with Young Adult or older sims, you have someone managing the poles at the club. There are some rare reports of autonomy mods conflicting with strip club autonomy, like mods which change coffee and water drinking autonomy, so you might want to try a minimal install test as well. If you are getting any Last Exceptions, please be sure to send them my way!
