The Escort Call Center is dead. Long live CumOver!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween! With spooky season behind us, it’s time to put the Escort Call Center to rest. But don’t worry, we have a new and better replacement: the Lost Eden CumOver App!
The Escort Call Center grew out of community feedback. Some players wanted a quicker way to build their client lists, especially early in a save, so I designed it as a kind of “cheat” lot trait. Use it briefly, find some clients, then discard it once your prostitute had found their footing.
But many, many, MANY of you wanted to make it part of your everyday gameplay! Unfortunately, Maxis’ phone call system was never designed for the volume of calls our prostitutes needed. To be fair to Maxis, they never intended their system to be used in such a way. As your feedback made clear, though, this feature deserved more than a temporary workaround.
So I built a new call dispatcher from scratch. A little over two grueling (but fun! I’m kinda sad the call dispatcher is finished) months later, I’m happy to finally introduce the CumOver App. The rightful successor to the Escort Call Center!
Getting Started
CumOver is the latest service from Lost Eden, our prostitution management agency. To sign up, head to any standard in-game computer with a mouse and keyboard, then navigate to Tam Explorer → Lost Eden → CumOver.
Your prostitute will then take a quick trip to a totally legitimate, absolutely-nothing-to-worry-about “Enrollment Center” to install the app. What, you’ve never needed an in-person appointment to install an app before? Lost Eden prefers a more hands-on approach. Somewhere along the way, they confused “install the app” with “install the user.”
Your Sim’s enrollment includes a taxpayer-funded ride to the center and a quick, harmless* microchip injection. How thoughtful!
*Harmless according to Lost Eden.
The microchip’s installation site is randomly selected from 14 locations. One of those locations is VERY fun. Maybe too much fun. You’ll see.
But Why a Microchip
Well, how else is Lost Eden supposed to harvest your biological data for their partners? I mean, connect you with the best possible clients!?
Your Sim will need Exhibitionism level 3 if they have the Exhibitionist trait, or Naturism level 3 otherwise, to complete the appointment. Prefer to keep your Sim’s skin clear? The tattoo exemption costs §5,000. Skipping the microchip altogether costs §50,000, and some call types won’t be available without it.
“Lost Eden respects your choices, some choices simply require considerably more money.”
Once your Sim returns from their taxpayer-funded adventure, they’ll be a CumOver Companion™! They’ll also find a new Go Live option on their phone under the Tam Tab. Use End Live when it’s time to take a break. Unlike the Escort Call Center, the CumOver App can be used anywhere!
I’m proud to share that my new CumOver system is debuting with 7 call types, with plenty of variations within them.
There’s also a caller ID system! The ID appears at the bottom of the call and is unique to each Sim. If your Sim hasn’t met the caller before, you’ll see an anonymous male or female portrait until you accept the call.
Call Types
Standard New Client Call
[No Microchip Required]These work a bit like the Order Bouquet calls from the last update. On a residential lot, the client will knock on your door and need a greeting. On a public lot, they’ll arrive somewhere on the lot and may need a greeting, or they may head straight to getting serviced. As before, you can click on your Sim to add another caller if you want to make it a group adventure.Returning Client Calls:
[No Microchip Required]These work like standard client calls, but come from Sims already on your prostitute’s personal client list. Returning callers get priority and call more frequently than new clients.FREE PIZZA:
[Required Microchip]OMG guys, hoing be hard yo! Sometimes your Sim may forget to eat. At low hunger, your prostitute may get a call from a concerned client offering a pizza delivery right to their location. How sweet! You know what’s even sweeter? Giving them a free tip through the Prostitution pie menu!FREE DRUGS
[Required Microchip, Basemental Drugs, NPC Drug Dealers]Ummmm, it’s like pizza, but drugs! If clients see your Sim sober, they might worry about their stress level and send over some help.GANGBANGS:
[Requires Microchip, Basemental Drugs, Basemental Gangs, Multiple Gang Members assigned not in the active household]FINALLY, right? Paid orgies are something Wicked Perversions has technically supported since the start, but I’ve always had difficulty adding explicit support for them. Most Sims don’t know each other well enough to share a prostitute. How selfish. Well, gangs solve this. It’s a team-building exercise, okay!I’m happy to finally get some Basemental Gangs integration into the mod, and even more excited for future integrations. Get a little taste of what’s to come with this call type!Anonymous Troll Call:
[No Microchip Required]Look, being live for too long might attract the wrong kind of attention. These are… mostly harmless prank calls that hint at your Sim’s dropping desirability, from completely anonymous callers.Normal Troll Calls
[No Microchip Required]Like anonymous troll calls, but from Sims in your actual game.More Calls to Come
The new dispatcher lets me fine-tune call frequency and context, two things I couldn’t properly control with the Escort Call Center. It also handles the calls so I can focus on creating the situations and stories behind them. These are just the initial call types, and more will be added in future updates. I have a lot of ideas, but I’d love to hear yours as well!
Desirability
Now, let me drop some business economics on you.
Sex is plentiful, so how do you sell it? You create a sense of scarcity. If your prostitute spends all day live on the CumOver App, their desirability can drop. The more it drops, the more troll calls they’ll receive. Keep going, and they’ll eventually hit a critical status.
Hoeflation
During Hoeflation, clients will only pay half your prostitute’s normal rates, and CumOver calls arrive less often. It wears off after 12 Sim hours. If you don’t mind the hit, you can stay on the app as long as you like, but your Sim’s desirability also recovers while they’re offline. Taking a break can pay off!
“Lost Eden would like to remind its companions that rest is important. Especially when it protects revenue.”
CumOver Hotspots
Don’t want to worry about desirability loss and Hoeflation? The new CumOver Hotspot lot trait is for you! It’s available for parks, bars, lounges, clubs, pools, and libraries. Reading is important, OKAY!
Going live on a lot with this trait makes CumOver Companions receive calls more frequently and protects them from desirability loss. Meaning no Hoeflation from staying live there. Use it to create a favorite work venue!
A word of advice: visit candidate lots before assigning the trait to see how long clients take to reach the lot after spawning. Maxis placed the spawn points on some lots VERY far away.
Questions for the Community
This update was driven by community feedback, so it’s only appropriate I end with some questions!
Custom CumOver Companion outfits: is this something you want? I designed CumOver with the idea that it could work alongside other prostitution systems, so I kept going back and forth on this. A full uniform could clash with strip club outfits or slutting outfits. But maybe optional accessories layered over your Sim’s current outfit would work? A custom hat while they’re live, for example. I’m really undecided. Would you prefer full outfits, accessories, or neither?
I’d also love feedback from anyone using CumOver alongside small businesses or strip clubs, since I haven’t tested those combinations yet. Let me know how they work together in your game!
And of course, what other call types would you like to see? I have a bunch planned, and I’d love to sneak more into future updates. If you enjoy the system and want more, let me know! My custom caller code is capable of much more than what’s included at release, and I’d like to get a bit carried away.
Lastly, and most importantly, thank you to all my patrons for your patience while I worked on this. Funny how 10 minutes of brainstorming an idea in-game with some simple code can turn into such a comprehensive project! The dispatcher is doing lots of neat things under the hood that I’d love to talk about, but this post is long enough. I hope you guys have as much fun playing it as I had testing it.
