Chapter 6 of Second Choice, which is likely to take the Saturday slot on ff.net and replace Arc Royale.

That does mean you'll have read the first six chapters of it, and that another story will begin here on patreon while it transitions over there.

This is late by a day because of how sick I was yesterday; the article should come out tomorrow.

So thankful this is getting a weekly slot. The one semblance reminded me of the my hero academia guy with the transmutation power and whatever. The exam thing is fun as well, and I hope the teams all get fleshed out some. I really like Jaune in this, I enjoy how it is very much a novice with no bad habits instead of a novice, look at him barely scrape by. The Penny misunderstanding is funny, I just really hope that it doesn’t turn into a Jaunedice arc of random team drama. I like imposter syndrome Jaune, because that’s basically who he is, but I like new stories more. And arguably I would way rather see Jaune and Penny fighting Watts as he tries to brainhack Penny rather than a random bully extorting Jaune. The secrets are fun and raise stakes, but I just hope it wildly veers off the Beacon path. (that pun was intentional)

Glad to see you went with JCKP lol This was a real fun chapter and I'm glad the story will be coming to a weekly slot, tho I'm a little bummed I'll have to wait 8 weeks before new stuff

On the one hand it's funny they barely had to get very far. But that definitely makes sense since if they had to cross ant major distance they'd get flattened. Good chapter, Penny really needs to upgrade her lying circuits tho.

I remember when this started that you said you wanted to try beta-ing the stories here before transition as an idea, I guess here’s when we get to see when you commit to the story to fanfic how it changes with hindsight or just extra time. I hope it can make you feel more prepared introducing it!

I foresee some changes already - for one, I think I need to bring in the Atlas school uniform, which I always thought was a decent bit of worldbuilding in the show to highlight how uniform and strict it is. I missed that one out entirely in this and will add that back in. I may drop a few more scenes between Penny, Ironwood & her father in, since those are important for her development and are absent atm.
