TC Modern 2 Year Anniversary Updates! (Patreon)

Hi everyone!

This months marks the 2 year anniversary of TC Modern and over that time the catalogue of maps and assets has grown immensely, all thanks to your support (and some amazing work from our other map artist Mark Drummond J)!

We have been in need of a bit of an overhaul to improve the patron experience and make things easier for all of you, so I have made a few changes to how everything is arranged.

New Patreon Banner

I have updated the Patreon banner with the new font and logos that were created for the TC Modern Battlemap Books Kickstarter so our branding will be more consistent across physical and digital ranges.

Themed Collections

To help you manage and find my content I have re-organised everything into themed sets. There are currently 10 different theme titles that cover all of the maps released so far, they are as follows:

City Streets - Outdoor Urban Encounters

Residential - Houses, Hotels, Apartments, Shacks & Mansions.

Commercial - Shops, Businesses, Offices, Restaurants & Bars.

Entertainment - Cinemas, Arcades, Clubs, Casinos and Venues

Industrial - Factories, Warehouses, Freight, Refineries and Construction.

Transport - Depots, Stations, Hubs, Garages & Vehicles.

Services - Emergency, Public, Civil and Educational Buildings

Military - Compounds, Facilities & Combat Zones

Ships - Ships, Boats, Harbours & Ports

Hideouts & Facilities - Research Centres, Laboratories, Gang Hideouts & Underworld Locales.

I have created Collections for each of these themes, as well as collections for Foundry VTT Modules, Asset Packs/Dungeondraft, & Free Stuff. All future content will be added to these Collections, and we may create new Collections as needed.

Website Update

I have also re-organised my Website Gallery with the same themed sets as above. I would recommend using the website gallery as your primary method of browsing my content as it is much easier to use than the Patreon UI, and each post links back to Patreon to get the downloads.

Master Posts

I have created Master Posts for each of our tiers that will allow you to download all previously released maps and assets in bulk if you so wish. The content is organised in the same themed sets as listed above, and separated into Print (300dpi PDF) and VTT (140dpi JPEG) folders.

We do not have a Master post for Foundry content as it is hosted separately, but if you want a quick easy solution for importing my Foundry content I highly recommend checking out Moulinette Cloud

Please note that there is a lot of content, so while you can theoretically download everything with a single click, the download will be so large it will probably fail, so you would be better off downloading in smaller sets, or just download maps as and when you need them and let me handle the bulk storage.

Commercial Licensing

I have had a number of requests recently about commercial license for my maps and assets.If you are a creator yourself and would like to use my content in your TTRPG adventures, I have three different commercial licensing options:

The 'TOM' License - A free open map license that allows you to use the watermarked versions of my maps at no cost. Terms can be found here.

Purchasing Individual License - Licenses for maps and assets can be purchased for a one-time fee. Pricing and terms can be found here.

Creator Tier Patrons - I have added a new 'Creator' tier to the TC Modern Patreon which allows you to create 2 adventure modules per month using the hi-res versions of my maps. Terms and conditions can be found here.

New Content Poll

As you can see from the various new map collections, we have a wide variety of map types and themes already, but I want to know what would be most useful for your games and what you feel we are missing. Please answer this poll so we can make sure we are making the maps you need!

Thanks as always for all of your support! We are on track to pass 1000 patrons this month which I didn't think would be possible when I started this Patreon. It's great to see so much love for non-fantasy genres too.
