Tyrael is a really interesting supportive main tank with a very different playstyle than most other tanks. He excels in coordinated environments and can be very strong in certain dive or peel comps. We will explain how to use all his abilities to maximize his power in this video.

7/29/2025 Patch - Buffed Tyrael base stats and moved around some talent tiers.

Level 1 - Ardent Restoration can be taken now if you take Burning Halo at level 7, they synergize well. Justice for all is still always great.
Level 4 - Reciprocate is now generally the best talent to take, it is the only one that does damage to enemy heroes, allowing tyrael to have a much higher damage threat.

Level 7 - Burning Halo is good now, but the other talents are also viable. (AA tyrael is still fine if you can AA a lot)

Level 16 - New Bound by Law talent is good if you need more CC.

Level 20 - New Aspect of Justice Talent is terrible, never take.
