Hi everyone!

I will be participating in this year's Booth45, an event where many TSF creators produce work to be released in the first week of November 2026.

As I will be participating as a game developer, I will be developing a short idol possession game. I have yet to make much progress, but can show you all what I have so far. This is the sprite for the idol for our game. I am still working on her portrait art.

1) What will the game be about?

"TSF Idols" is the theme for 2026 Booth45. This game will be about possessing an idol. This game will have a short darker story, with a focus on one idol character. It will take place in the same world as Magi Trias Cardinator.

2) Will this impact the development of Magi Trias Cardinator?

Very slightly. The release cadence of Magi Trias Cardinator will remain the same (release every 2 to 3 months), except for the month of November, where the Idol game will be released in leiu of a version release of Magi Trias Cardinator.

3) How will I balance development of the two games?

I will continue to develop Magi Trias Cardinator as my primary focus, with about 90% of my development time devoted to it. 10% of my time will be devoted to preparing for the idol possession game for November.

This graphic is a good view of the tradeoffs I am making for both these games. For a game developer with finite time, I can only have two of the three: "Game Quality", "Narrative Complexity", and "Delivery Speed".

Magi Trias Cardinator prioritizes "Narrative Complexity" & "Game Quality" at the cost of "Delivery Speed".

The Idol Possession game will prioritize "Game Quality" and "Delivery Speed" at the cost of "Narrative Complexity"

This is also the reason why I cannot speed up development of Magi Trias Cardinator - I am already going as fast as I can given the focus on “Game Quality” and “Narrative Complexity”. The only way to speed up the development of Magi Trias Cardinator is to scrap the mechanics, scrap one of the two routes, scrap player choices, scrap multiple endings, etc., which I will NOT be doing.

4) When's the release date for this Idol game?

Booth45 works are released for free in the first week of November. I will release a week or two earlier for supporters. It will be released as a single version, fully completed, because it will be a short game.
