Our Adventure Begins: Putting a Deposit on an Ocean Rowing Boat (Patreon)

You guys are the first to know..... Shhhhhh. After months of research and contemplation training, saving and fundraising, Ian and I have finally decided to take the plunge and invest in an Adkins ocean rowing boat called Sogno Atlantico. This seagoing vessel has crossed the Atlantic five times previously and we could not be more excited to embark on our very own adventure. We're especially excited to be picking up our boat on the 1st of June from Burnham on Crouch, where it will undergo a meticulous marine survey to ensure that everything is in order. This step is crucial in guaranteeing the safety of our journey and the seaworthiness of our boat. Our Sogno Atantico has never capsized and is an Adkins mould built for The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge 2013 by Rossitors, fitted out by Rannoch. What sets Adkins boats apart is that they are not only highly functional and practical, but also aesthetically stunning. The Sogno Atantico is no exception- with sleek, clean lines, she'll need some work to make her super beautiful but we have 2 years to do that in. We've been itching to start our rowing journey for years and are thrilled at the prospect of setting off on our own adventure. We're already thinking about the challenges that we'll face, such as equipment failure, inclement weather, and exhaustion. But, we're also well aware of the incredible rewards that await us- the raw beauty of the ocean, stunning sunsets, and the true sense of accomplishment that comes from completing such a strenuous feat. We'll keep you updated on our journey and share the ups and downs along with way. Until then, here's to our new ocean rowing boat Sogno Atlantico and the many happy and challenging miles of ocean that await us!Jooles and IanX
