The Sahara Tent at their 2019 Coachella performance has a capacity of 42,300. The tent looks like an aircraft hanger inside, and it's open on the sides They filled it to overflowing, people were watching from outside the tent! According to a media outlet, over 125,000 people attended their 2023 performance! I have the Livestream from their second weekend performance (better than the first as they ironed out audio issues and the members were more relaxed), give me an email address and I'll send you a link! I also have some other BLACKPINK content I'll include, I really enjoy your love for the group! (I'm a Rosé bias, I love her passion for music...and her Aussie accent!)

I paused for a second to let you know the song that Rosé is singing when she's in the mirrored practice room is "Hope Not" and it was on the Kill This Love EP. Hope Not and You Never Know are tied for my favorite songs from them.

Interesting fact: At 59:52 , when Rosé starts singing by herself in the booth, the music that she is singing to became "What You Waiting For?" by SOMI, another artist under Teddy's sublabel THEBLACKLABEL. It was probably a track that they hadn't used yet and they had Rosé see if she wanted to use it. SOMI is young, she was actually almost a member of another big K-Pop group TWICE but didn't make the final cut. Somi (Jean Somi) is a Canadian-Dutch-Korean, her dad is an actor in S. Korea. She is also a ball of energy, a rock climber and holds a black belt in Taekwondo! Check out her debut hit BIRTHDAY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDJ4ct59NC4 and her more recent hit XOXO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8kqPkEXP_E You can see the YG attitude in the music and the videos.

I think it's helpful to know that the Documentary was released at the end of 2020, about a month after their first full album (pre-release How you Like That and Ice Cream and Title Track Lovesick Girls). The filming/editing for the documentary took place in early 2020 right before Covid and after their first world tour in 2019. Coachella 2019 and the Netflix documentary really helped give Blackpink even more int'l attention beyond Asia. Blackpink's magical story up to then seemed hard to top already when you watched the documentary at the time of release. But now with their recent comeback with Pink Venom in 2022 and the VMAs and then their title track Shut Down and the Born Pink album, followed immediately by their world tour and headlining of Coachella 2023, BP's journey just seems even more incredible b/c it's so easy to become complacent when you're already at the top, but they really just keep outdoing themselves.
