Wow Derek. I was born, raised, and still luve in Sussex County, DE. Thanks for the story. I can't believe I've never heard of this legend. I will be visiting there for sure. I live 10 minutes from Maggie's Bridge and I had one interesting thing happen there but otherwise it's pretty boring around here when it comes to ghosts. Thanks again for all you do!

Transplanted Buckeye living in Indiana. Has to do with " hoosh yer mom, dad," etc.... Hoosiers are a bit klannish, in the historical context. All that being said, don't forget to set your timepiece back 20 years when you arrive.....

I’m a Hoosier. My grandparents always said it came from the old days when much more of IN was covered in forest and people would say “ who’s there?,” which sounded like “ Hoosier” ( who’z zair?)
