I also have lived in Amador County California for most of my life. I lived in Pioneer for a couple of years and also experienced the "booms" they are often blamed on the mining or military like Casey said. They are very interesting and can definitely be creepy depending on where you are when you hear them. I was super excited to hear a Hometown story from my very own town of Jackson California! Thanks Casey for sharing your experience! Thank you Derek for the amazing podcast 🙌 ❤️

I wonder if there’s an AI assistant that could help sort through all the calls

Hey there MAU! Speaking of theamed pod cast…If you do a Ouija board one, I have a story to tell! It’s actually what started my strange encounters I had through out my life!

Andrew, I too am a patreon member, but always am sure to download the podcasts on iTunes too so that MAU gets the #’s

In regards of the person who recommended The Parapod movie for the round table I totally agree. It’s a lot of fun and a little freaky in places. I’m not sure how well the British humour would translate across the Atlantic but I’m sure you guys would definitely get something from this film

Being from the Great Lakes I heard "mystery" booms that puzzled me when I was a small boy. It only happened in the winter. I found out later it was ice on the lake cracking under pressure and current motion. Booms in the mountains at all times of the year?? Now that's a head scratcher for me.....

Visiting Duluth MN last year (during the summer,) we definitely heard a loud kaBOOM along the north shore of Superior many miles north of town! Chalked it up to industry, mining, or whatever, but it wouldn’t be the first weird thing reported from Lake Superior. Could have sworn it originated from over the water given that there were trees to our backs, but sound is funny that way. It rattled our insides, whatever it was, just like the first caller described. Maybe I need to call this one in anyways…
