Although I'm not from Colonial Heights or Petersburg, VA, I did some preliminary research on Fort Clifton. There was a hospital and "ladies quarters" inside the fort during the Civil War; however, I could not find any mention of an insane asylum or naked ghost being seen in that area.. The closest asylum, Central State Hospital, is located nine miles away in Petersburg. It is an asylum for the criminally insane and has been in operation since 1870. I will continue my research and post updates here.

I would like to chime in on Andy’s story with the fireball and the cow picked clean. We have hogs over here in Oklahoma and I imagine he does too in Illinois. From experience, I have seen them eat entire deer(bones and all) everything but the skin, in one night. These are deer that have been shot by a hunter and then not tracked or found until the following day usually. Back to Andy’s story, the cow is much larger and with bigger, denser bones than a deer but I think it’s possible that hogs could have picked all of the meat off the carcass at least and in a short amount of time.

Feds are always hanging out on reservations. I wonder how many times they have shown up on native people's doors trying to keep things under wraps. Also I feel like reservations are hot spots for all paranormal/cryptiod activity.
