This has got to be one of the strangest films I have ever seen. Johnny Depp played the socially awkward genius so uniquely, delivering a performance I will never get out of my brain. Enjoy :)

Enjoy watching along with me the full-length reaction!

Grew up watching this version and I've only seen the original once (honestly thought it was a little creepy haha)- rewatching this one now I can see how weird it is LOL. Johnny's line delivery is iconic though!

No way you're watching this 😃 Where is my pint of chocolate?)

Rhetorical Thrill

Technically, this movie isn't a remake of the 1971 movie (which is called Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory), they have very little in common. This is an adaptation of the book, and a much better one in my opinion 😊

I thought this one was too weird as a child, but over time it's grown on me lol. It is closer to the original book than the 70s film, e.g. the lyrics of the songs in this one (all bops, too) are taken directly from the book. And yeah, the one actor, Deep Roy, did all of the different takes for every Oompa Loompa. As I recall he was pretty nervous about having to dance.

okay, I can not wait for the wanka reaction.

Are you gonna react to the new Wonka movie? :D
