I had WAY more fun watching this than I thought I would. The animation was gorgeous and the characters were cracking me up the whole way through. Just a silly and heartwarming movie. Enjoy :)

You should check out Treasure Planet if you get a chance, one of the most animated underrated movies ever.

SubourbonMermaid

This was such a fun movie to watch in theaters when it came out. You've been killin it with the uploads, Oscar! Looking forward to starting S4 of ST next week too. You're a beast!

Liam

I loved this film as a kid. I still love and buy lego all the time .

Stacey

IM SO PSYCHED!! This is one of our family's favorite movies! It even inspired a Legoland vacation

Sarah Marion

I just realized this was the Barbie movie of the 2010s… speaking of which…?

Teej

I remember when this movie came out and I thought it wasn’t going to be good. Then I saw it because a friend had me watched it, and I loved it. So creative and fun! Also, Will Ferrell is a gem!

Jarrod Serwa

I’m not a massive Will Farrell fan but he is hilarious in this movie

aleena

the amount of serotonin i get whenever you upload something needs to be studied fr

Heu Aussie. I was just thinking about this the other day. I was going to make a suggestion on this movie. Never-ending lol. I can't wait to watch this with you.

Teej

We always see Liam Neeson playing all of these tough or serious guys, so it’s really fun to see him voice a character like Bad Cop/Good Cop.

Lizzie✨

What a coincidence, Reel rejects also posted their reaction to this same film on YouTube today, I love that😂

aleena

i first watched this when i was like 11 so i did not pick up on how similar the city is to dystopian worlds in classic literature - with everyone kind of living the same lives and liking the same things and never being upset ("forget sad things" in harrison bergeron!) which in general is pretty similar to brave new world by aldous huxley. and president business being like "i've got my eye on you" or smth like that was literally just "big brother is watching you" from 1984. like this is wild. but it's so nice to rewatch this bc i can make these connections!!

aleena

20:39 HAHAHA i forgot this is where the tiktok audio came from

James McCarthy

This is such a bizarre shocking film in no-one expected it to be anything besides a cash grab but inside it was a fun incredibly creative adventure that went even further into an emotive story with a nice message and family interaction. Glad you enjoyed. Highly recommend the second Lego Movie and the lego batman film. Although i do not think Lego Ninjago is any good that one sadly killed the franchise

Hell. Yeah. My day has been absolutely awful, but now I have spaghetti, chocolate cake, and Oscar watching one of my faves. 100% improvement.

Rhetorical Thrill

I personally didn't care much for the sequel, but The Lego Batman Movie? *chef's kiss* Not even kidding, that is probably my favorite Batman movie.

Fantasy Land

I think I remember watching one of the Lego movies just once long ago

Jim Schmitz

Imagination is the most important human power, and as such it can create or destroy everything. Use it wisely! Love your smile, Oscar.

The Lego movies are a lot of fun, but lean more toward goofy in a non-cohesive way. (Which makes sense, it's framed as kids playing with their toys and it does an amazing job with that.) But I am SO MUCH MORE excited to see your reaction to The Lego Batman Movie. It has similar goofy humor, but it just feels much more focused in the plot and the messaging. The Lego Movie and it's sequel I can watch every now and then and enjoy them, but Lego Batman? I feel like I could watch it 5 times in a row and never get bored. (Plus, they PERFECTED the Lego animation in that film. It's an absolute treat for the eyes amd it KNOWS it)

Alejandro Juarez

The double decker couch math makes my head hurt lol

Sarah Marion

I would love to have a complete breakfast and watch tv with you every morning 🥺

Timothy Peterson

Fun movie but the message is fundamentally wrong. The dad has his own stuff and prefers to build them according to the instructions. He bought his kid his own stuff. But no, the dad is wrong to enjoy making the models by the instructions.
