What a phenomenal film!! I honestly was super surprised by how gripping the story was from start to finish and how emotional it was. It's kinda cool this is a love story as well as a space adventure. Also the music...wow. Enjoy :)

Emily D Fredriksen

Ooooo I can’t wait for this 🙌 Day 41: of suggesting my girl (1991)

Shanae K.

I'm so happy. You had the chance to watch. Its beautiful. I can't wait to watch this over the weekend. 🥰

Anna H

A fantastic movie! Was lucky enough to see Hans Zimmer in concert a few months ago and the Interstellar segment was a huge standout 😍 The music, cinematography, and visual effects here are just incredible

jess

OMG YES!!!!! I can’t wait to rewatch this with you!!!! I loved this movie so much!!!

Patrick Fisher

This is genuinely one of my favorite movies of all time, all of the science (except for the black hole stuff at the end) is 100% true. This movie is the perfect example of how it is possible to make science interesting and engaging, I wish there were more like it, I’m super glad you enjoyed it.

Patrick Fisher

I just have too much to say about this movie, the present the decaying world in such a real and chilling way, it’s amazing. And the way they present NASA at the start is just sooo good. I have near infinite praise for this film

Tingispunigus3035

I'm so excited to watch this definitely in my top 10 favorite movies.

Jim Schmitz

Oh, MG, this is a special day...

Citizenschnapps

Damn. Movie was so long, Oscar grew a beard. 😜

Lily

Dude the stubble suits you so well!!

Larl Sagan

I watched this for the first time myself, last year. I really enjoyed it.

Laura Cabrera

Thiz is one of my favourite films. A masterpiece🥺

Giedra

Love the movie, loved your reaction. I really appreciate how emotionally invested you are when reacting. If you hadn't seen it, is there any way you could react to 'Bridgerton'? Many people hands down would love your reactions to it and you seem to have a high emotional intelligence to appreciate the characters and storylines. Thanks again for a lovely movie rewatch ✨

Kjrsten Schindler

I think you’d really love U571 if you haven’t seen it already!

Nanners

Such an incredible film with one of my favorite scores. That “no time for caution” docking scene is easily one of the most stressful movie moments. Gives me anxiety every time. Loved your reaction when you realized he was her ghost. Always such a fun lightbulb moment among reactors.

PumpkinPanic

first time watching this movie with you, loved it, and if you want to see mat damon in a good sci fi movie, you should watch the martian

Paul

A sci-fi Disney movie for adults. That's a perfect summary of this movie :)

Rebecca

"This is literally Marty McFly trynna make his parents bang" That killed me 🤣

Rebecca

Jessica Chastain (adult Murph) has the cutest, purest giggle 🥹 You should watch her in The Help if you haven't done so already, she's even more adorable in that ❤️

Anissa Amalia

the production designer (who also did Wicked) said that they actually planted 500 acres of corn for the film!! somewhere outside of calgary, canada

Jordan Young

This will be a first time watch for me too, will comment once I have finished it.

Maisie

Oh Hooray!!! I’m so excited to watch this with you; I’ve never seen it before and I heard it’s great. Thank you!!

Blake

I’m not sure what the odds are but i just watched this movie for the first time over the weekend. I’ll watch it again with you

D2K9

Stubble AND subtitles? Sir, you spoil me.

Raven Dark

I whooped when I saw this pop up in my email, Oscar. Great reaction to a fantastic film. There are several scenes in this movie that legit give me the willies just watching them. The scene with the huge, slow moving wave, and the image near the end on the baseball field, but when it shows the grass going up, both completely freak me out, but in the best way possible. They're so mind-bending, I almost can't watch them, but I also can't look away. It feels like something in my head is trying to unhitch when I see them. It's awesome. LOL Also, your reaction to the moment when you realize that HE is Murph's ghost is the kind of reactions we live for. So good. After seeing this reaction, I have to highly, highly recommend Arrival. It's another amazing sci-fi film with great acting and standout music, but there is an... I don't know... an artistry to it and an unusual depth to it I think you'd be able to truly appreciate. It's a masterpiece.

Maike_Staytiny

I love space movies like this so much. If you haven't already watched it, could you please watch 'the Matian'? It's an absolute brilliant movie, i love it

Brittney Alvarez

Oo yay! Such a good film. I actually get to hear this incredible score live tonight at a Hans Zimmer concert 🥳 Such a great composer. Great reaction Oscar!

Stephanos

ftw for me too so this whole almost 3 hour watch was quite the fun ride. Absolutely destroyed me by the power of love (apparently it can transcend dimensions of space and time and no one told me). I hope things are going well for you

Tate Wells

i would highly recommend passengers

Matti

I think this might be my favourite reaction from you, this movie really brought out all your best "reactor traits" and I had a great time watching it with you! :D Also thank you so much for including subtitles! I see other people already suggested Arrival and The Martian, so I'll just loudly and enthusiastically back those up (The Martian is one of my favourite movies of all time!). And I wanna suggest Sunshine from 2007 too, if you want more heavy-ish and engaging space travel sci-fi stuff (and another incredible musical score)!

Jim Schmitz

Finally got through this. Yes to everyone else's comments. The passage through the wormhole was even better than in "2001: A Space Odyssey". Ever seen that? Another sci-fi mind-bender from the past. One of the robots made a joke reference to it.

KW

I hope I'm not overstepping any boundaries of your patreon but thanks for not shaving. You look great. If this is inappropiate I'm very sorry, I blame it on the language barrier :D I really enjoy your reactions it's great to have someone this lovely when your alone with your anxiety.

Jordan Young

I did enjoy watching this as a first-time watch, had no idea what to expect, and despite how long it was I did like it.

JiaHailstorm

I have watched so many creators watch this movie. I never get sick of it. It will always be a great reaction if the creator is able to make me cry a bunch of times, and you managed to get the floodgates open xD I love when a creator can make me feel deeply about a film that I can no longer manage just on my own anymore. I've always found it so weird how you connect to people watching movies for the first time. It's as if you can feel their emotions, and they highten the viewers. Or at least make you feel as they do. It's as if you make me forget I've already seen this movie before as if I watch it through your eyes. Anyway, what I was trying to say is I appreciate your reaction. It was great!

KW

No „okey dokey“? It’s ok, I’m fine 🥲

Brian Nix

I've never seen this before, but I don't think I would have gotten past the parent-teacher conference if I had tried to watch it in the theater. This is such a stressful movie for me to watch, I guess because I have kids, but I know I have to see what happens. I just have to keep pausing it for a bit and coming back later. Also, have you seen the Martian? (If you know, you know...) You should definitely watch the Martian.

Cohen Phillips

If you enjoyed this I believe you would enjoy “passengers” and “the Martian”

Cohen Phillips

Some fun facts about this film they planted 500 acres of corn just for this then I believe they donated the profits but could be wrong on that second part. Also the ticking when they arrived to the water planet (I don’t think you noticed this) represents a day passing on earth with every tick

Maisie

I'm so glad you watched this! It's a fascinating movie and I love your reactions to dramatic movies. Thank you!

KJ

I love this movie, it's an experience! I definitely recommend Martian and Passengers, Contact...

Lori Smith

You really helped me understand parts of this movie that I struggled to before, so thanks!
