Well , then it should be "Sindbad : the legend of seven seas " or what it's name . So far so 👍

Liam

MewTwo Medici

Jade Green

I loved watching this with my siblings when we were kids 🥹✨

Shanae K.

I can't wait this is one of my favorite. So many people don't know about. I love the songs.

Now with Treasure Planet and Atlantis down, guess the only great 2D Disney movie left (edit: of the final days of 2D Disney) is Princess and the Frog? (not counting the direct-to-video movies yet)

FOX AND THE HOUND dont you dare forget this masterpiece! Also have a nice day

True, I was mostly focused on the end of Disney's 2D era before they went full 3D only since he went through most of the Renaissance Era. He still have quite a few movies from the Golden, Silver, and Bronze Age to get through if he wants.

Maisie

Thank you for the upload. The story in this movie isn't my cup of tea, but I always thought the relationships in it were really interesting.

I am so happy you had the same reaction that I did. I adore this movie even as I get older. I know some people say it’s an overdone story but I really love it anyway. Also fan fact that song in the middle is the lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls.

The Rescuers count too, at least according to me as a 6-year-old.

I have to recommend again in case there's interest in the show: Firefly! Just that opening shot of space and the music---gives me major Firefly nostalgia :) It's a space western, and so. much. fun!

James McCarthy

Woo knew you would enjoy this one. The villain and hero relationship is awesome as are there characters in general plus the film looks wonderful the world is so creative.

Rhetorical Thrill

My favorite Treasure Island is the one with the Muppets 🤣

If I may: War Games (1983) Project X (1987) Last Action Hero (1993)

This my first time watching this, the part where Jim’s dad walks out hits too close to home

The song is by Goo Goo Dolls. The band comes from my city in Buffalo, NY.

Treasure Planet is definitely awesome - it actually didn’t do too well theatrically when it came out due to poor marketing tactics (last I heard). If you want another Sci-Fi adventure, I highly recommend Titan A.E. It was made by Don Bluth, and it’s really incredible (the cgi might be a bit dated though).

Brittney Alvarez

Another underrated fave for all the reasons you said at the end. The relationship, the world, the animation & the music are all really beautiful. Great reaction! You should check out Titan A.E. for another thrilling, animated space adventure.

Hahah! Another victory in my quest to badger all my favorite reactors into watching Treasure Planet!

He just recently did Road to El Dorado! If you wanted to check it out :)

EkkaLula9

I love the comparison of Jim's colour palette between the first time we see him skysurfing and when he's talking to Silver for the final time/meeting his mum at the docks. So much more vibrant and alive, and the shadows around his eyes are totally gone!

Rescuers Down Under is one of my all time favorites : )

Ae Jae

Joseph King of Dreams. man you have to follow up Prince of Egypt. Its such a beautiful story

Michel Hallit

If you love the story you HAVE to watch the show Black Sails!!! One of my favorites!! Basically a prequel to the Treasure Island story and its all about how Flint and Silver met and essentially became who they did!

Jim Schmitz

Oh, Aussie...arrrgh! 🏴‍☠️🦜

Clara Hines

Check out The Sorcerer's Apprentice sometime. Made with Nicholas Cage. I think it's an underrated Disney film much like Treasure Planet and Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

Elvira

Have you seen Game of thrones? You put a lot of emphasis on character and character development, which is something GOT is famous for doing well. I think youd find it fascinating. (As long as you're ok with a show containing a lot of brutality).

Shanae K.

I love this movie. I love how it based of Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. He is one of my favorite authors. I truly am captured by his writing.

Amy

I liked Treasure planet as a kid but Titan A.E was definitely my favourite of the two, very similar vibes just for a slightly older age group. Definitely would recommend checking it out.

DUDE! I'm so incredibly happy you did a reaction to this. This film was my favourite growing up—it was my childhood. I freaking adore it. The music, the characters, the relationships, the creativity of the world they built - it still blows me away 20 years later. "I'm Still Here" by John Rzeznik is one of my all-time favourite songs - it really resonated with me for the longest time. The credits song 'Always Know Where You Are' is also a banger - gutted you cut it off before it really got going haha. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing your experience watching this for the first time. Your insights into the scenes were super interesting, as always, and your emotional reactions validating. It's lovely to watch a film that you love so much be appreciated just as much by someone else. You were beaming, tearing up and laughing right along with me, and it means so much. Really needed this today!

The Outlaw Cad Bane

This and the 1990 treasure island movie with Christian Bale and Charlton Heston are probably the best adaptations of the treasure island book hands down.

Rk Monger

I saw this when it was first released on VHS or DVD. I liked it, but after watching this with your commentary, i can see me re-watching it again and again. you really made watching this fun.

Kristen545

I loooove this movie!!!
