This movie was a load of fun and horror!! I found myself both laughing hysterically but also hiding behind my hands. I love how this is similar to Raiders of the Lost Ark but still unique and quirky. Enjoy :)

IT'S 2 AM BUT IDK THATS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE MOVIES

Ali D

NOOOO! I was just about to go to bed! Damn it! 😭😭

Wall-E

Yes! Thank you, Oscar. Just got home from work and now you made my day!!!

Skye Johnston

OMG YES! This movie is INCREDIBLE, so excited to see your reactions!

Katie Reacts

i have not watched this movie in years. let's go!!

Carven Ridge

I think you’re gonna love the trilogy

MewTwo Medici

YES! Finally you watched it! One of my top movies & Brendan Fraser is a national treasure in this role! He’s on the “right side of the river” haha

Nanners

Hell yeah! Such a great film that balances comedic, horror, and adventure so so well. Brendan Fraser & Rachel Weisz have incredible chemistry. One of my favorite on-screen couples.

Timothy Peterson

Aww, should have had subtitles on. When he pulls out the star of David the mummy says "the language of the slaves."

Maisie

Gotta love Brendan Fraser.

jaynguin

This was the first live action movie I genuinely fell in love with as a kid

Lemon & Lime

Yay! Been waiting for this one

Astoria

Love the first and second film. I'm excited about the 4th film that has now been announced. It was said the entire main cast would return. It's sad, Imhotep was so badly in love and wanted nothing else than be together with his love and she wanted to be with him and even after 3.000 years he just wanted his love by his side. in every other setting he would be the hero of the film xD "Fun" fact: Brendan Fraser really did survive that hanging. He's was rigged up incorrectly and he legitimately started to be strangled. btw: next time it would help to turn on the subtitles for all the flashbacks and the time they speak Egyptian.

Midnight Crypt Worx

Funny you say he looked like Tarzan...he played George of the Jungle which is pretty close haha

Teej

May or may not have freaked out as I just saw you reacted to this!!! This just made my day!!! Loved this movie and the second one when I was a kid. I know what I’m watching when I get home!!!

Michael

Since you mentioned Tarzan, have you seen another Brendan Fraser movie: George of the Jungle? It is a comedy.

Kitty Underwood

There are supposed to be subtitles at the beginning lol

Maike_Staytiny

The way 12 year old me had crushes on everyone in this movie, Rick, Evi, the desert guy but my biggest love was always the mummy😭are you gonna watch the second movie as well? It continues their story (and ends the franchise for me, cuz they switched actresses for evi in the thirt movie and i hate that😭)

Abi

I don’t know if you take requests but you should watch the movies mamma Mia, paranorman titanic enchanted stand by me and Zoolander

Amanda P

Oh hell yeah one of my fave movies!

Teej

Brendan Fraser almost died filming the hanging scene. I have such a hard time watching it knowing that now.

Fredrik Larsson

This movie makes me so nostalgic. It came out when I was nine years old. This kid that was one of my neighbours had just got a DVD player and we went to his home to watch the DVD and we watched this movie. I had never seen a DVD before that and I remember I was blown away by the DVD menu and that you could choose scenes. And you didn't have to rewind the movie after you've watched it. Of course this movie gaved me nightmares. Not because of the mummy, but because of the bugs.

CoinBase Executive 7

Yeah this movie is pretty good actually. But I still would suggest that you watch/react to music videos. Mainly because of your musical background. I would suggest Basshunter Welcome to Rainbow (the ultimate trance experience) there is no actual music video for this trance song but you can still listen to the audio and react to it. Its only about 5 minutes long. When the beats drops hard at the 55 second mark it sounds pretty cool. This song will make you feel high. In case you don't know Basshunter is a Swedish guy that produces trance songs Also watch/react to Travis Scott's (American rapper) sicko mode music video and highest in the room and FE!N Music videos. The beats on FE!N and sicko mode are dope as f**k. Awesome rap songs all 3 of them. Also watch the Disney horror/family movie The Haunted Mansion (2003) starring Eddie Murphy and Marsha Thomason and Terence Stamp. Really great movie especially the end is really beautiful guaranteed to make you cry or at least tear up. Thanks Oscar for watching this. Your reaction was really great. ❤️ can't wait to see your 100,000 subscriber milestone video on YouTube! Should be fun! Looking forward to it mate

Maike_Staytiny

Ah btw Oskar, Jurassic World Rebirth just hit the cinemas so i think this would be the perfect opportunity for you to watch Jurassic World Dominion and if you got time for a nice kids show related to Jurassic World, watch Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, it's really fun

Michael

Please watch the second movie as well, The Mummy Returns. The entire main cast returns for it.

feyatsirk

This was one of my favorite movies growing up so imma give a bunch of little tid bits! There also should have been subtitles any time they spoke Egyptian. I was surprised this edition didn't have the closed captions on the screen. The desert scene after the gun fight, the Medjai, basically state that the desert (sahara term you hear) will take care of Rick so they don't have to. Later they see him return and state he's stronger than expected to have ya know, survived the desert. "At least shes covered up." All of Anck-su-namun's outfit was painted on lol My favorite history rewrite (Aside from the random Giza pyramids at the beginning when were several hundred miles south in Thebes) is the canopic jars because it was such a random thing to add a fifth one. The ancient egyptians did not believe the brain to be important, your whole self/seat of mind was the Heart (which is why it's weighed against a feather to allow you into Aaru (Egyptian heaven)) so I'm not exactly sure WHICH organ they decided to make the 5th jar, but it wouldnt have really existed lol The library take was also done in one take!!! and honestly, imagine having to reset all those books, I'm sure everyone was glad it was done in one go lol Hamunaptra unfortunately (or fortunately) isn't a real place. It's not found in any ancient texts, the actual place that would more fit the description Evie gives is the valley of the kings, which is in Thebes (Now Luxor), where the pharaohs were all buried. The hanging scene, Brendan Fraser actually got hung on accident. Apparently, they were like 'Hey it doesnt really look like youre hanging, can you make it a little more believable?" and so Brendan went up on his toes to try and sell it, but the guy on top holding the rope, pulled it a little tighter so he was stuck on his toes. Next thing he knew he was on the ground with gravel in his teeth! Also edit: Dont watch the third one. You dont need to. They dont have Evie in it and it's overall not a great movie. I think most people pretend the series ended after Mummy Returns lol AND I forgot the best part, the chair throwing portion, where Rick chucks the chair at Beni, it was at random. He just decided to throw the chair at Beni's stunt double and nailed him right in the back, so they kept it in lol

Fireflye97

So happy you got to watch this! My family and I love watching this movie. It's goofy, horrifying, and fun all at once! My recommendations: Ready Player One Titan A.E. Tinkerbell (weird I know but it's fun) Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (It's got amazing animation) The Last Unicorn Battleship (super action packed!)

Sarah Marion

So this is the movie that made everyone bi sexual?

maemisfitz

Loved the reaction, it's one of my favorites! I do want to say tho, while a lot of people unknowingly watch the version without subtitles, it's okay since you get what they're trying to say. HOWEVER if you do watch the second one, I'd recommend finding a version WITH it, since there are multiple scenes/conversations between people who speak another language and you need to know what is going on 👍

Emily D Fredriksen

I love dis movie! Can’t wait Day 6: of suggesting (wicked 2024)🩷💚

Sarah Marion

“Burn it” 3 minutes later “Why would you burn it!?”

Charlotte Carter PhD.

OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! I took a day off at work and you drop this masterpiece! This is the best day of the month! Can't wait to watch it. Thank you Oscar, you brighten my day! Don't hesitate to keep watching all the Millenials classic childhood movies 🤣, we're very grateful.

Sarah Marion

@47:43 lol they found Voldemort

Charlotte Carter PhD.

You have to watch the second one now! It's equally good (even better in my personal opinion!). Thank you for this reaction Oscar! Ps: who discovered they were bisexual/pan with this movie when they were teenagers? 🙌 🤣

Mikkel Øberg

Praying for X-Men: Days of Future Past Kings men: the golden circle 21 and 22 jump street Shutter island Prisoners Parasite Zombieland, both of them

Rebecca

When he pegged that chair, I was cracking up right along with you 🤣

Joel R

I loved this one! Like a perfect mix of horror, action and some slapstick comedy 👍

Rebecca

My dude, if you haven't already, I highly recommend you watch Black Swan. A bit dark, but it's so well made and there's a lot to unpack. Similar vibes to Whiplash

Kate

This was the first movie my now husband and I watched together the summer we started “hanging out” 🥰 And we celebrate 15 years together tomorrow! Lots of happy memories and good vibes with this one. Great cast, fun action, just an all around classic romp. Thanks for a great reaction as always Oscar : )

ZackB547

I love this film, it's what started me on my fascination with Ancient Egypt! The second one is pretty good too, but this is a classic.

Aleksander

Ever thinking about seeing the Fast and furious movies?

Kjrsten Schindler

I love this!! I think you would really like Jungle Cruise and Red Notice.

RangerGhost24

Still hoping to see you watch Rango someday I think you would adore it

Brittney Alvarez

This is such a fun film with perfect mix of action, adventure, horror and romance. Love it so much. Really glad you enjoyed it. Hope you watch the second one! The first two are the best and Evie is even more interesting in the second one. Please watch the next one with the subtitles. A of chunk of dialogue was missed in this one without them 😅

Amy Silknitter

Watch the sequel, but not the rest. The rest are garbage.

Amy Silknitter

Have you done National Treasure? Same kind of feel. Less mummies. The first and the sequel are both worth watching.

Christina Moxon

Such a crush on Oded Fehr from this movie. Iconic and fun. Can't wait to see the second one with you.

Justin Noel

I mean, red hat guy was right. He said not to read from the book and when he said what has he done, and you said what have you done didnt really make much sense. It was literally Evie who read from the book and started the chain of events

Kristen Patton-Schulle

You absolutely HAVE to watch George of the Jungle after watching this movie. Brendan Fraser at his peak was The Mummy series and George of the Jungle.

Cody

Great reaction to a great movie! I echo what others have said, you should definitely watch the sequel, The Mummy Returns, but anything after that in the franchise isn't worth it.

Casper

def watch the sequel it’s my favorite. you will absolutely love it! i also love how you say “id be having the time of my life” on the plane, but get scared of the mummy. it’s the exact opposite for me. i love horror, but as soon as you get me anywhere high up im so scared.

RaynnMJ

fun(scary) fact: Brendan Fraser accidentally got "choked out" during the hanging scene. Due to a stunt coordination miscommunication.
