I don't know who suggested this but THANKS. What felt like a "feel-good" movie for most of the runtime ended up being the saddest story. It is an incredible film and I enjoyed the parallels between the real world and Terabithia but man, was it tough. Enjoy :)

I’m loving the speed at which all these videos are coming out! Spending half my week watching videos with Oscar! 😂

Emily D Fredriksen

Omg ! I m so excited but also I’m so sorry you saw that😅🥹 Day11: of suggesting (wicked 2024) 💚🩷

Sarah Marion

Oh no Oh no Oh no no no no no

melissa.xoxo

🫶 May I suggest The Parent Trap (1998) and The Sound of Music (1965)—though the latter is a bit long lol

Fox

so sorry but SO excited to watch this!! not so fun fact, the author wrote this book (that the movie is based off of) to help her son deal with his grief after his friend was struck and killed by lightning

Michael

Oh man, I suggested this on your My Girl reaction sort of as a joke and to prepare you in case you do watch it due to certain parallels.

Raquelly Reacts

Omg this is such an awesome surprise! I’m so excited to watch later

Hey Oscar yeah this movie is pretty good. Thanks for this upload. You should totally react and watch music videos more often. Mainly because of your musical background. I'm sure everyone on here still wants to see you playing the piano! Heart my comment people if you want to see Oscar playing the piano!!!! I know I do!!! That's pretty cool Oscar that you know how to play the piano. Also listen to Basshunters welcome to rainbow (the ultimate trance experience) Basshunter is a Swedish guy that produces and writes trance music. He's had a lot of hit songs in the past. And this one welcome to rainbow is I think his greatest hit song that he wrote/composed. There is no actual music video for this song but you can still listen to the audio and react to it. Its only like 5 minutes long. But when the beat drops hard at the 55 second mark its amazing. This song will make you feel kinda high. Also watch/react to some of Travis Scott's (American rapper) music videos like sicko mode, FE!N and highest in the room. The beats on FE!N and sicko mode are dope as f**k. Also watch/react to the Disney movie The Haunted Mansion (2003) starring Eddie Murphy, Marsha Thomason and Terence Stamp it's a family/horror movie. Also watch the super hilarious movie The Money Pit (1986) starring Tom Hanks, Shelley Long and Alexander Godunov its a comedy/drama movie. Really funny. Also watch/react to the Disney movie Saving Mr. Banks starring Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson (2013) it's a family/comedy movie. Alright thanks for this nice upload Oscar❤️ cheers!🥂

Michael

Speaking of movie that you would only watch once, I am actually going to give a movie warning this time. Be wary of the movie: The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. It is a very dark film. It takes place during the same time period as Schindler's List.

Michael

On a lighter note, have you seen Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008), it stars Brendan Fraser and Josh Hutcherson.

Amanda P

Damn people really wanna see you cry huh 😂😭

Maike_Staytiny

Okay, so I was expecting a nice fun movie to watch at 1 am with you BUT WHAT WAS THAT😭😭💔THAT HURT😭😭

Maisie

If you want a fun one, I’d suggest Enchanted. Disney with a twist.

Kjrsten Schindler

I love this movie more than I thought I would… I’ve never seen it but I’ve heard a lot about it! I think you would really love Swiss Family Robinson (no one dies in it)… It is such an underrated classic!!! Also congrats on hitting 100k subs 🎉🎉🎉

Joel R

This movie is filled with so much heart, but man that gut punch from Leslie's death... 😢 Can't help but to tear up 😞 If you want a more laid back movie I'd still suggest Flushed Away (with Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Ian McKellen etc). Just filled with silly goofiness. 🤪

Sarah Marion

I recommend watching Enchanted next, I promise it’s a happy movie with a happy ending

Maisie

Yeah I can totally see why you're upset, especially since you just watched My Girl. It totally blindsided me too the first time. I will say, I think people want to share experiences with you, not to hurt you, but because it had a profound effect on them. That said, I love this story, and I love the way it portrays imagination. I forgot how good little Josh Hutcherson was. He was great in Zathura too. And the casting for Leslie and the dad was great as well.

ObbleOnTheWobble

Loved your reactions as always! :) I would like to take this opportunity to ask if you would consider watching The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn (2011) directed by Steven Spielberg. A few other reaction channels I watch have seen it recently and it got me thinking. It’s quite a favourite of mine and underrated imo. I hope you would watch it, if you haven’t seen it already.

Elvira

I was bawling my eyes out watching this with you ngl. Such a good movie

Monica

Oh I’m SO EXCITED for this one, can’t wait till I’m home from work! 🤩

Lino E.

This is a good movie but this one scarred a generation. It seems some of your recent suggestions have been from the list of the saddest kids movies ever made. This one is right up there with My Girl, The Land Before Time, and Bambi.

Nyx

I was one of the kids who was traumatized watching it as a child lmao. I would say this is like the 3rd time I have ever watched it all the way through. It was so gut wrenching, I was the same as you, like once he got home everyone was freaked. To me I was like confused by it, but once they said she died I was so brokennn. This movie is truly traumatizing classic. At the beginning when you said it was so wholesome, Ik it would hurt worse at the end. But again great reaction episode, can't wait to see what's next.

Victoria Tofoli

“I didn’t know this was a feel good movie. It’s so cute” THE WAY I LAUGHED! I’m so sorry for that. I thing this is the first movie that ever made me cry and really upset, I was like their age when I watched it I think, kinda traumatizing like you said.

Shanae K.

Im so happy you had time to watch this. It's one of my sister movies. She loves this book

Sarah Marion

This reminds me of the Spiderwick movie

DomesticatedCryptid

Still holding out hope for Sinners but this movie is so SAD. I had to do an elementary school project on it and we watched the movie in class at like 10 years old and 90% of us cried, this film goes so hard

Valerie Reed

I cry during the entire movie, every single time. As a kid who was never good enough, bullied at school, bullied at home, and completely invisible to most people, I relate to Jess on almost every level. One cool detail you may not have noticed, the Dark Master, just like everything in Jess’ version of Terebithia, is based on his real-life. The entity responsible for sucking the joy out of a magical realm and stopping Jess from freeing Terebithia (and therefore freeing himself), is revealed to be his father. After the reveal and the following catharthis, Terebithia is bright, happy, and more magical than ever. The entire character arc of Jess so perfectly encapsulates my experience of slowly prying myself from the puppet-strings of my mother.

Derrick Belone

I’m watching this for the first time as well and it crushed me and left no crumbs.. a sudden death out of nowhere made me cry like a baby.. the bullies were relentless, even after her passing (ugh) but, I love this quote by you Oscar, “She writes the way that you draw!” That was a magnificent way to articulate such a mindful imagination correlation!! 🫡🦾🔥 Great reaction.. I was right there with you Oscar… 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

utafoxy

never trusted a rope swing after this

Sean Carroll

I lost a friend of mine in a car accident in 2018. I watched this movie plenty of times when I was young but watching this movie after I lost my friend tore me apart.

Nanners

Congrats on 100k subs!

feyatsirk

I got the notification for this and Immediately went “Oh no who suggested this to you?!” I hope you didnt watch it too early in the day. Would’ve Completely ruined it! Its still one of my favorites but I absolutely refuse to watch it around other people because after That Scene i just keep crying until the movies done

Jacob

Ah man, when you said you’ve got to be careful with rope swings…

Heida

This movie never fails to make me cry 💔😭 But always good to be reminded just what a phenomenal child actor Josh Hutcherson was! He was also great in Zathura and Journey to the Center of the Earth (the latter of which I recommend). AnnaSophia Robb (Leslie) was in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, she played Violet (the girl who chewed gum). Fun fact: She sings a song called Keep Your Mind Wide Open in the scene where Jess and Leslie are building the tree house (and in the ending credits). But, as sweet as the music teacher was, it is a bit weird. Mainly because, if you flipped the genders, most people would have an obvious reaction to that, but somehow it doesn't feel as creepy here? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Jarrod Serwa

Mate this movie destroyed me as a kid. This and Marly and Me

Natalia

This movie hits just as hard as an adult as it did as a kid. Damn.

Jacob

Yes this movie is very sad at the end, but also happy. It shows real growth in our main character and his family. Signs of a better future. It’s an incredible film I’ve watched many times. But seems this was at a poor time, seems you wanted something more upbeat. Sorry for whoever requested it

ZackB547

Damn, that was a tough watch.

Kate

So I read this book in elementary school about 25 years ago. Had never seen the movie. So the whole time I like “is this gonna end the way I vaguely remember it ending?” Annnddd then it did. 😭😭😭😭 Amazing performances all around but yeah. I’m not gonna be revisiting this any time soon. Hugs to you Oscar, I hope you watch something funny next!

Anna H

The moment we wave bye to Leslie in the rain I almost said "Alright, peace out, that's it for me" Damn this movie still stings and now I'm freshly reminded why I haven't watched it in so long 😭

Teej

Yeah. I can’t watch this one. It hurts. If you want a movie that won’t make you cry and will make you laugh, I suggest My Cousin Vinny.

Wall-E

Please, watch Jojo Rabbit and The Impossible

Keirstin Meunier

You read my mind, Oscar! I'd been thinking about rewatching this movie again for the past month or so, I haven't seen it since it came out. Perfect timing!

Amy Lillian

Yes that is New Girl! Can I vote New Girl as a show for you to watch after you’re done with friends? Lol too soon?

vaquist

wow, i remember SOBBING to this movie many times as a kid, but i didn't think it would get me this hard as an adult. WELL IT DID lol.

Wall-E

Please watch Jojo Rabbit

Geothro

"I didn't know this was going to be a feel-good movie." 😭

Sarah

Oh you have to watch the Anne with an E series now! The main characters imagination is so much like Leslie's.
