Your reaction to the end sequence is priceless…because same lol.

I have to agree with Heather. The look on your face when they were looking at the poster was freaking amazing!! 🤯 I love that moment and replayed your shocked face a few times. It’s funny that I was actually going to recommend this movie and now I’m going to recommend Tom Hanks in The Green Mile. Both of these movies were based on Stephen King stories. Frank Darabont wrote the screenplay for both movies and directed both movies. There are also a few actors from this movie who are in The Green Mile. Many reactors will watch both movies for all these reasons. You are not the first person to think of the old man, Brooks, as a tender, sweet man. Cassie said the same things. I think they purposely left their crimes out of the movie so we’d feel this way. I haven’t read the Stephen King story, but I believe someone said that Brooks committed a very heinous murder. I remember watching a recent reaction when you mentioned that you never hated a character more and I think it was Rose’s fiancée from Titanic. There is a character in the Green Mile that may take that top spot.

James Jackson

This was a beautiful reaction man. This movie holds a lot of people's hearts. I used to watch it with my uncle who was my hero in life. He became very sick and the last year of his life he would always push play on this DVD for the last 20 minutes before he went to sleep because it gave him peace. When we found him passed away, the DVD title menu was still on the tv screen. It is a movie that transcends film and becomes art and solice for people who are struggling. Thank you for this!

This is a movie that needs to be watched more than once. Every time you watch it, you notice something new, pick up on the subtle foreshadowing. My favorite is the first scene where the warden is talking to Andy in his cell and they're trading Bible verses. The warden is holding the Bible with the rock hammer inside, and Andy is just keeping his cool. The warden almost took the Bible with him, only remembered at the last second to pass it back to Andy through the bars. When you know the plot, that scene is a whole new level of tense. Tim Robbins did a masterful job acting in this movie, when you rewatch the film you get the tiniest glimpse of panic behind his eyes. One of the best movies of all time.
