Why on earth would you leave the baby with those two!!! Easy going couple of episodes without Ross and Rachel drama but lots of in fighting among the group. Enjoy :)

Phoebe’s “take care” line to the server when she orders is so subtly funny to me lol. My friends and I use it on the regular at random times. I agree with you, I think they should have accepted the tickets. I get where they are coming from with their feelings, but they should know their friends enough to know they just wanted all of them to be together for a fun thing/ birthday. I thought it was such a sweet gesture!

Aside from just actor cameos, Friends had a couple other musical cameos as well if memory serves. Chrissie Hynde, an American-British lead singer who headed the band; The Pretenders is the first we see in the show. Loved Phoebe trying to school her character on the proper way to sing "Smelly Cat". A lot of shows in the 90's wanted bands/singers to appear in episodes to attract more viewers. It happened all the time on later seasons of Charmed, though they had a reason for it (one of the lead characters owning a club), but I guess there's still quite a number of cafes that cater to musicians to appear and play for customers. The shows do feel a bit time capsule-ly when you watch it so many years later and see these musical guests. Giovanni Ribisi appearing at the end of the episode to fetch his misplaced prophylactic in Phoebe's guitar case - very out-of-the-blue!! Who knows, maybe we'll see him again sometime in the far future.

Maybe it's a thing people do in the US but it's crazy to me that instead of everyone just paying for what they ordered, they pay equally even though some people got a steak and others got a salad?! However, I agree they should have accepted the tickets and also should have communicated this to them earlier. But I get where they were coming from. I can relate but with family instead of friends. In the ending scene of the first episode Matt LeBlanc was supposed to grab the phone and say, "Bob here!" when Jade called, but he missed and fell. They decided to keep it in. Also, Giovanni Ribisi (the condom guy) might appear on the show again... as someone else.

Just catching up on these. I remember that first episode pretty well… Whenever I’m out with a group of friends, we always pay for what we got, and there’s the occasional someone offers to pay for everyone if it’s a smaller group, and we all do that at some point… I know for me personally, I have a hard time accepting someone paying for me, not as much of an ego thing, but more because it’s difficult to accept when someone does something nice for me because I don’t think I deserve it, which isn’t the healthiest, and I can admit that. One of my best friends who was my mentor first as a teenager and now is a good friend, he put it in perspective for me a little bit. When I tried paying for myself one time, he hit me with a, “How are you going to deny me this blessing?”. He told me that the reason he wants to pay for me when we go out is not because he doesn’t think I can afford it, or that he’s worried about me not having a meal otherwise, but just that he wants to do something nice and it feels good to treat the people we care about. It’s still difficult, but I understand where he’s coming from when he puts it like that.
