I'm completely invested! This dystopian teen flick has so many political layers and themes as well as a compelling love story that I can help but be excited for the next film. Enjoy :)

peeta is the goat, you see in the next film

I'm also phobic when it comes to bees and other stinging insects. Which is strange because snakes I have no problem with.lol

I know you've already watched all of these but still gonna comment on your commentary for this one lol. But yeah, Effie isn't being fake. In the books, she even says to Katniss and Peeta that at least they have table manners, and last year's kids just ate with their hands. This is because Peeta was born in the more wealthy part of the district, and so was Katniss' mother, so they both were taught those things. Other people in 12 don't find those things important, since half of them are starving anyway. After Effie says this tho, Katniss starts eating with her hands instead lol

Yes, you ABSOLUTELY should read the books! The books have so many more layers and details, and answer all the small questions. They really flesh out the world building. The books are from Katniss's perspective, and she really expresses the culture shock, and you're in her mind as she's figuring out how to play the game. I'm super impressed with how many clues you picked up just from the movie, I just really think you'd find the books interesting and incredibly powerful. The politics are much better expressed as well.

Recable

To anyone watching this specific movie (I haven't watched the rest of the Hunger Games reactions yet), if you're using the Netflix version it may desync a lot, or at least it did for me. Using the Amazon Prime version kept it synced though, so if you're having issues, use the Amazon Prime one.
