I was never that big a fan of Rocky at this time but I liked Ferg. Check out Lord$ Never Worry by A$AP Mob. It's a mixtape that came out a year after this and features all of the members of A$AP. RIP Yams 🙏

Clams casino produced palace, bass, wassup, leaf, demons, and sandman. That’s prob why those tracks r ur fave he’s one of the greatest to do it

Holy yap, but it seems like there is also a lot of information about this album that you don't know, which would make everything make a lot more sense to you. So, I will describe it from what I remember. So, A$AP YAM$ founded A$AP in Harlem. Him and A$AP BARI (V-LONE founder) are from the same area. So, according to Bari, him, Yams, and ASAP Illz decided to link up and start their own "Crew" (crews were what they called friend groups). Bari describes it as "high school out of high school". Ferg had his own crew. Teanna Taylor (idk if you know her but she has worked with ye) had a group. Then Yams, Bari, and Illz had a group that he called the "weirdos". They wore skinny jeans and did what wasn't really cool in Harlem at the time. Rocky had a crew called MDB (Million Dollar Babies). They were the hood group according to Bari. "They listened to Dipset and Jim Jones, and they were into trapping and underground rap." Bari and Rocky went to the same school, but Rocky was older. Bari goes on to say, "In Harlem, if you're not friends with somebody, you don't talk to them… In Harlem, if you dicksuck, there is none of that". Also, according to Bari, "Teanna is the reason A$AP exists because she made it out first, which showed us it was possible". So, as for how Rocky joined ASAP, one of Bari’s friends was dating a dude from Rocky's crew. Word got around and some shit happened, so Rocky wanted to fight. They planned the shit out, but Bari wanted Rocky to meet Yams as well so they could get a rapper into A$AP, and that's what happened. YAM$ is very important to the story as well because he helped create Rocky’s first two albums LIVE.LOVE//LONG.LIVE. He was the more creative person who had the ideas, and Rocky was the really talented rapper. Yams had this idea of deconstructing classic NY rap and classic Memphis rap. Yams and Rocky were so well-versed in these sounds that they were able to dissect them and recreate them instead of copying them. And they also blended this with Cloud rap, taking inspiration from Lil B and Clams Casino, who has production credits all over this album. Also, fun fact: the first engineer that they had working on the project got too high on shrooms and deleted almost the whole original album. I’m pretty sure only "Purple Swag" is remaining and a few others that I can't remember.

Interesting how almost every song you liked was produced by clams casino. Palace, Bass, Wassup, Demons… He and rocky were a lethal duo, but he’s nowhere to be heard on at long last, maybe that’s why the songs on that album don’t hit the same as on live love
