Obviously couldn't hit you with the fun facts, but long story short, this was his last album while he was alive. It cost $30 million to make, and wasn't promoted at all due to Michael and the president of Sony (his label) having real smoke behind the scenes. He had to promote the album himself. It sold well enough due to his name, but nothing compared to what it could've and should've. So to this day, it's labeled his worst album and heavily overhated by critics.

Good reaction bro, completely get the feeling with the 2nd half of the album as i barely revisit those songs too tbh lmao. They can be slow but it's still good music imo. I'd really love to see history though as it's mj in his prime and it's just non stop bangers all the way through. (Hopefully dangerous does well on yt haha 🙏🙏)

I wish we could've got just one full R&B album from Mike. Heaven Can Wait is a top 5 MJ song. The legend Rodney Jerkins aka Darkchild produced "Unbreakable" and most of the album. MJ thought BIG would sound good on it so Rodney got an acapella verse from a song he did with Shaq...yes that Shaq lol.

It’s crazy that you don’t know what Dolby is😂😂 It’s a company that specializes in sound quality. 2000 Watts is song about being the physical embodiment of sound (I guess). It’s definitely the first questionable song on the album. I think Tyrese Gibson wrote that song. In the 2nd verse of the song “Privacy”. He was talking about Princess Diana. He and Princess Diana were close friends and she famously died while being chased by paparazzi.

I'm glad I paid for the membership. I was highly anticipating your reaction to this album and it is so satisfying to see this album do well "in the future" which is now. I always had the feeling the album would be rediscovered and have its moment later on. It really shows Michael's vision and foresight even though the album wasn't very mainstream at the time. But this album set the trend to what pop music is today. Your reaction to Unbreakable is so spot on I love it.

Btw picture Heartbreaker in 2001 contrasting with very melodic music of N-Sync, Britney Spears oops I did it again, Backstreet Boys, and hopeful optimistic techno music. This is before Dubstep was a thing. It didn't make any sense why Michael would put that song on the album. It sounded like clanking sounds. Think about how far ahead of its time that is.

I never understand the hate for the ending half of Invincible. Maybe that's because I'm an artist myself and I study MJ everyday – but I personally love every song Invincible and im so glad MJ didn't just give us 8 songs. Where's the risk taking? I guess i can understand if u dont know the meaning 2000 Watts...idk. I knew what it meant. I can understand the change the world vibe not being ya thing. Don't Walk Away and Threatened are beautiful songs! Come on bru.....I know music is subjective and no one is ever right or wrong..but gee.

The Lost Children was one of his favorite songs on the album. Not Heartbreaker, or Heaven Can Wait.... The Lost Children. Put some respect on MJ's risk taking. The KING OF MUSIC

This reactions a little disappointing, i feel like if you diddn't understand the songs you could've looked them up. 2000 watts is a very simple concept, and threatened is him telling the industry that they should fear him because they were trying to tear him down at the time. The other songs were slow sure but that doesn't make them bad

Threatened is one of my favourites from this, its more of a metaphor which is why the lyrics might not make sense on the first listen. But its basically a threat to everyone trying to tear him down, hes saying 'yeah i am a beast and you should be scared of me fuck off' lol, cos this album came out when sony was trying to steal all his shit and put down his music and messages basically. And it also just goes incredibly hard is like a better version of Thriller (in my opinion but thats also bc we've all heard thriller since being born lol)
