The album is undeniably beautiful and is deeper than it leads on, but the music isn’t good 🤷‍♂️

In house settling there isn't a metaphor for the house. This whole album is from the perspective of quads character where he took his own life and is now stuck in purgatory and the house is the house his mom lives in. He's going around the house and the floorboard are creeking because of him but his mom just says that it's the "house settling" and so he gets angry that his mom knows it's him but chooses to ignore him so he turns on the oven letting c02 out killing her. Danny brown raps from the perspective of the c02. It's a very dark album about his perspective of being in between life and death. That's why his voice is distorted for a lot of this album because we're hearing him from this place while we're still here in the place of the living.

Yeah I'm actually really surprised he didn't like it. I'm not sure if it was just not what he wants right now but I feel like eventually he will like it.

Lyrics and the concept are awesome but this album is better imo without listening to the lyrics deeply. Focusing on the whole vibe/ atmosphere of the music is the most enjoyable way to listen imo.

Not comparing the two albums at all, but I think Loket would get a kick out of listening to The Money Store by Death Grips. I feel some songs he'd be sweating like it's a Ken Carson album, and some songs he'd just be confused LOL

Also I'm not really understanding how people are surprised he didn't like this album. He knew nothing of the concept of the album or what context to take the lyrics in (which, for the enjoyment of this particular album, is needed more than usual), and none of the songs are remotely conventional "bangers" that he would be able to catch a vibe from. The album grew on me for sure, but I knew from the start that this would not be in his lane and he probably wouldn't have much reaction or know what to make of it all, and I can't blame him or dislike him for that Looking forward to the future reactions fr, it looks like we'll have new JPEGMAFIA soon as well as Freddie Gibbs, Denzel, and Joey Badass, which is a stacked lineup

I’ll be the first to say this album is a lil corny in how dramatic it is, but I rlly fuxx with it and I’m glad you gave it a shot, it’s gotta be Imperial by Denzel Curry next tho 👀

This album has a lot of depth not only in the lyrics but also musically that I feel like you just didn't get, and that's perfectly fine. I recommend checking it out later on again but if you don't fw it rn that's fine, its not for everyone.
