May 2024 Newsletter and Recap (Patreon)

So many cards released in May!While there was only one new game (Word 8), there were many cards illustrated and released. Monsters Over Pancakes got a new card type (Traps) and yet another batch of Quests Over Coffee quests landed to the paid Patreon tier.

Tales Over Tea

 I'm going to be taking another stab at a story-telling dice-rolling game in June. I don't want things to fall to the wayside like previous attempts where I release 2-3 stories and then it rides off into the sunset. A single "tale" demo will be released to Patreon members to demo, but I won't do a full release until I get at least 10 full tales put together.

The general idea is that you have come back from questing and are now telling a recap of everything that happened. The goal is to have your listeners believe you! Every tale is out of 10 points and you can, if you'd like, carry your character from tale to tale.

Thwak! Infinite Forest News

In between working on physical games, I plug away at my video game Thwak! Infinite Forest. It's been fun just adding new features and little things on a regular basis. I don't see a full release of this game for quite a while, but that's okay. Some new features that are in place this month:

• a little in-game clock

• a new library building and museum building

• a marketplace stall

• more trees in some special (purple) areas

• a lot of code clean up
