Hello!

And so we begin another year! Mine has been filled with trials and tribulations thus far, but I'm still feeling good.

I yap about Linux, computers (i use Arch btw) and other thoughts and feelings, just your traditional mad man ramblings.

I hope you are doing well!

Thanks for listening

xx Sangy

i think it’s super based that you have been moving to linux!!! i think the moar people the better, its good for the ecosystem me thinks. it’s very true that linux has come a long way!! hopefully in the comings years things get a lil less rough around the edges in certain regards. i think it’s very possible about that black box computing concept, which is not really a future im looking forward to but given how things are going i can see this happening, so in my mind it makes it even more imperative to start learning about computing fundamentals like how a modern OS works, etc etc. im not one to jump on the doomer slopification train either but i concur about windows; it feels like it’s getting worse and worse, it’s one of the contributing factors that has pushed me towards switching to linux as well i agree about the free and open source aspect of things, its one of my fav parts of linux: ) ive always been a big fan of open source solutions for things for a long time, i think its awesome more people are exploring that field opensourceness so to speak because it truly does have many benefits (and like you said, its free and yours!!!!) so im really glad you’re having fun with it all and enjoying the process!! ive already said it before but im really sorry about your ram situation : (( its horrible timing especially with the whole RAM price hike. its so crazy to me that just a while ago it was just a little over a hundred dollars for a ddr5 32gb kit and now akin to buying a lower end GPU 😵‍💫 it’s cray cray, i really hope things stabilize here soon in that regard because its no fun at all i concur about valve, although they are not perfect, i think they are a really good example of a successful company that still respects consumers. and the steam deck is so freakin cool, i can’t wait until eventually im back on da deck gang 💯 also steam frame and fancy steam machine cube :0000 supa excited for those super cool about the fbt and lens mod you did!! it’s surprising how cheap it was, and it breathed new life into your headset like you said!! fbt tracking improvements is swag too, cant wait to see what you end up doing for eye/face/mouth tracking too!!! i think all of that stuff is pawsome really happy to hear that you are doing better lately and better than last year : ) that is always a joy to hear. i love these long form BTS’s especially when they are about cool stuff like what you went over (probably cuz im a big nerd lol) as always archmoder, you da best 💯
