So I yap for a really long time about AI.

My little novelty curio thing I've been fiddling around with, doing some tinkering and shminkering.

tinkermoder hath returned!! very based i think it’s super cool that you are getting interested in this llm stuff and exploring it, i think it’s good to be able to understand what this stuff is and how it functions and all that given how ubiquitous they are these days i think that prompt engineering you did to make it like a spacey star trekky robit a là HAL 9000, i think thats pretty rad >:D much better than stupid pontificating collegeessay-speak lol, much more efficient too as well to make it do short form responses as possible (and sassmoding : pp) i think it’s best to use these as just tools like you said, and to keep in mind of their capabilities as well, which more often than not falls flat juxtapose to promises made about their capabilities as we can all see by these companies forcing AI into everything xddd that sass moment you had with the LLM after all those prompts is a little spooky ngl, at least it would spook me a bit lol, though like you said it’s just a LLM and you promoted it to act kinda like that but still it’s crazy that we can even do stuff like this…the future is here, yoooo you make a very interesting point about the abyss, because it’s very true, these LLM models at least when contained in the manner you have set up, do end up being reflective of yourself. and it really is like how we imagined computers to be 20 or 30 years ago which is pretty wild to think about… that knowledge base idea is pretty cool and i think could be quite useful! having the LLM be able to actually take what you’ve said into account especially for example troubleshooting a past programming project like you said!! pretty dang coolio the performance that you’ve gotten thus far on your hardware still surprises me greatly, liek 60-70 tokens a second is much more than usable, it’s pretty wild. i think it would be uber cool to see if somehow you could interface with the model via your phone while it’s running on your desktop…then you could jarvismode anywhere :000 i think you make a really apt comparison with the knife/firearm comparison since like you were getting at; it’s a tool and like all tools they can be used for good and bad. and like it or not it will make an impact in our day to day lives to some degree or another as time goes on, so it’s best i think to have some sort of understanding of them. i think it’s really cool that your playing around with these things and getting interested in them and pushing it to da limit!! like i said with these new sorts of paradigms it’s very important to understand how they work given that they are changing our society in various ways. and it brings important philosophical ramifications and questions into the fray that i think are important to think about!!! but im biased a lil bit because im also a big comp00tor nerd xdd great BTS sanguine!!! i really like these long form ones as ive said before, especially the tech focused ones!! im very happy to hear that you’ve been doing relatively good lately and getting out of that winter funk : ) always a good thing to hear! as always sang you da best 💯
