MAGA has gone global. What started as an American political movement has evolved into an international force, energizing radical-right groups across the world and creating networks that link European extremists directly to sitting members of the U.S. Congress. Heidi Beirich, one of the leading researchers on the radical right and co-founder of the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism (GPAHE), joins us to explore how we got here and what the global landscape looks like now.

But first, the guys try to make sense of the increasingly bizarre vibes inside MAGA itself. Trump is suddenly praising Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani, Marjorie Taylor Greene is rebranding using "woke" language, and no one seems to know what's happening anymore.

Great convo with Heidi! Those concerts she attended in the 80’s… holy smokes! Legendary shit! Got me thinking about some incredible concerts and shows i’ve attended over the years/decades. On Mamdani and Trump and Trump’s apparent crush on Zohran… the one thing that I didn’t think served the left and antifascist side of things the way most people seem to see it, was Trump’s jumping in to deflect and make light of Mamdani calling him a fascist. It’s another step in the debasement of the word and trivializing something that’s deadly serious. Oh Trump’s a fascist? Big deal, he doesn’t even care if you call him that. He and his minions will just keep doing absolutely fascist shit unencumbered by any meaningful weight in that word.

Just checked that and you’re right. Will talk with Mike but we will likely take a quick beat to clarify on that next main feed episode. Minor detail in context but we did recall that incorrectly. -JH

Australia mentioned! Yep, we have active clubs here and a white supremacist problem that is continually dismissed by the media. Tomorrow I will get my chance to boo 'Tommy Robinson' in Melbourne (via video, I assume, because he was denied a visa.) In Sydney about 60 members of the National Socialists Network did a photo op outside the parliament house recently with an inflammatory, but still not breaching hate speech laws, banner. I have been doing portraits of these saddos, as they were emboldened to show their faces. Maybe I will do a group portrait in the nude...
