Meet Alkinimic Rex, September's Big Bad! (Patreon)

Few adventurers ever make it to the dragon at the bottom of a trap-filled kobold warren, and fewer still climb back out. For centuries, the cunning kobolds of Old Alkinimic Mountain thrived under the rule and protection of the ancient red dragon, Old Alkinimic.

However, rumors are spreading that the dragon has died.

With the aid of a powerful artifact called Phaign’s Mirror, the dragon’s inheritor, Alkinimic Rex, has taken hold of the lair and is far stranger and more dangerous than the old dragon ever was.

Like a rapacious god, Alkinimic Rex requires material offerings from his kobold followers, particularly food. The dragon-creature also demands mirrors and polished piles of silver coins to perfectly reflect its glory. It loves to stare at itself as it ponders its own nature as a reflection of an imitation of the old dragon.

Will you take down the enormous mimic dragon, or will Phaign’s Mirror create a mimic monstrosity of you?
