The magnolia dragon is one of the longest-lived and hardiest floral dragons. They mature at around 150 years old and can live to be over 1,000. Though the largest petals on the magnolia dragon’s back form wings that enable it to fly short distances, it prefers to remain on the ground. If it is forced to take to the sky, it attempts to use its size and weight to knock foes out of the air.

They are fiercely protective of the area they claim. Family members split up to patrol different parts of their territory. If a magnolia dragon encounters trouble, it will call to its family for aid.

If confronted, a magnolia dragon resorts to defensive tactics. It puffs up its petals to shield itself and others.

Outside of their families, magnolia dragons are not the most social of the floral dragons. While they don’t seek out humanoid company, neither do they assume humanoids are threats. Most humanoids have only heard legends of magnolia dragons and wouldn’t dare approach one. However, some druidic circles and rangers have successfully befriended magnolia dragons. The memory of a magnolia dragon is long, and they remember those who are kind or cruel to them.
