Driven by his wish to reclaim the time he lost with his daughter, Horatius constructed a magical

pocket watch using aora. With his new device in hand, Horatius took to the forests surrounding the manor.

Aiming the pocket watch at a curious squirrel, Horatius drained the creature’s remaining years, causing its time to be absorbed into the aora. Using the squirrel’s time as fuel, Horatius was able to rewind time in his workshop for six seconds.

Though delighted at the success of his test, Horatius knew the pocketwatch was too small to hold sufficient energy to give him his second chance at fatherhood. He needed a bigger clock and younger victims with longer unspent lifespans to fuel his plan.
