Preview: Eve (Patreon)

Time for another preview, and this one is for Baby Blue as well!

As you know, I’ve been working on a big scene that serves as the intro for the episode. It features Eve, as you can see. Last week, I ran a poll to choose her outfit, but actually... I'd already rendered about half of the scene back then, with the jeans outfit.

Let me give you a bit of background, a little behind-the-scenes, if you will 😊. I originally wanted to do a quick render of a girl looking at huge presents for the "Everybody gets more!" post, and I used Eve simply because I’d been working with her all week. But the outfit she had on (with jeans) didn’t really match the vibe of the presents, so I quickly swapped in a skirt I bought a while ago but never ended up using. And damn... she looked good. Way better than with the jeans.

Now, you should know, I'm a perfectionist. But I know I am. And part of being a perfectionist, is forcing yourself to accept less-than-perfect, because otherwise you'll never get anything done. This was one of those moments where I really wanted to re-render the whole scene with the skirt, but I forced myself not to.

Then I thought—why not involve you guys? If there was a clear majority voting for the skirt, I couldn’t ignore that, right? Right! So I made the poll. And sure enough, Perfectionist-ilPazzo beat Realist-ilPazzo, because you clearly voted for the skirt—and now I had to remake the renders 🙃

Tiny bonus for those with eagle eyes: the trays in the new skirt render have changed from brown to baby blue. Did you catch that? 🙈

That’s because the brown trays were just too close in color to the skirt I swapped in. And hey, if I was already changing her skirt, I figured I might as well tweak the tray color too.
