Devlog #19 (Patreon)
Content
This week, I started working on the lewd animations. It's been frustrating, because while I feel more confident every week when creating story renders, I'm still making a mess of animations. Resulting in far less progress this week. But it's something I need to push through: only by working and failing, I'll learn from it and get better.
I'm not really happy with the animations in Episode 1. They were my first attempt, and they look choppy. The ones I've made so far for Episode 2 are already a bit better. I've watched a lot of Youtube tutorials, tried and failed (and cursed) a lot too 😉 but there's definitely progress. My personal favorites are the animations in Chasing Sunsets. That’s the level I’m aiming for, and I hope I’ll get there... eventually.
While waiting for animations to render (my pc is slow and I might be impatient too), I'm reworking the marketing assets. That's the 'cover' for the game as it appears on different gaming sites (like itch.io), the 'banner' which you see on top of the Patreon page, 'capsule' art for Oppaiman, and so on. I don't like the 0.1 art anymore (Lori looks fat on the cover, while ingame she just isn't!). Since it's the first thing people see before they (hopefully) click on it, it needs to be as appealing as possible.
Sneak preview: the devlog-title on this post is new, and you can compare the old and new covers below. Everything’s still a work in progress, so things may change. Love it or hate it? Let me know 😊
Take care, and see you next week!
